@Justin Yeh: Exactly …but after many open/close, they could move… that
means that you, every time you open and shut your capote, you’ll look more
points to make sure that everything is ok and that the two straps shall not
be moved. Instead, put a small dot of glue, rest assured that they will not
move more … and above all, you will not have the stress of control every
time that everything is ok 🙂 Bye Bye
Thanks for sharing! I just did this today, and I didnt need to use glue. I
just used some thick Backpack straps and they hold when I open and close
the softtop.
(3/3) In any case, I advise you to just put the clamp, squeezing it in
metallic cross-pieces of the roof, and after checking that everything works
properly, only then proceed with bonding, with a little glue, and only on a
few points. Again, I put very little glue and, to date, I have not noticed

I am just curious, wouldn’t that show from the outside? i know if you apply
glue, it will get stiff and probably over time it will show a mark from the
outside no?
(2/3) I put very little glue to the center of the strain goretex every 3 or
4 inches around, because when the top is opened or closed, so it does not
pull everything. As absurd, I noticed that this system works well even
without putting the glue! I put the glue because they are so quiet that the
goretex straps do not move by themselves.
After 5 months it work Very well!!! If you have any solutions, post it

I’ve not noticed anything strange on the outside. The glue will not
absolutely note both inside and outside. Of course it only takes very
little glue only on the side of the piece of goretex..
