In this video I show you how to manually reset a power window control unit on a Honda. This will not work on every Honda model but it will work on many of them. This reset is generally done anytime any of the power window components are replaced. Many times the Auto Up/Down feature will not work properly until a reset is done.

Many times you can also reset passenger windows that have auto up/down feature (most newer Hondas have this now). To reset a control unit other than driver's window, just follow all steps shown in video *using the switch at the problem window*.
On newer Hondas that have Auto Up/Down for each window, if the windows operate using the switch at each door (but do not work from the driver's door switch) then resetting the control modules for each window can sometimes fix the issue. Each door window control unit (the window switch) would need to be reset manually using the window switch at each door (so 3 separate reset procedures if all 3 passenger windows do not work at Driver's switch). This typically needs to be done if power is removed (battery died or something unplugged or replaced) from certain components at a certain time.

hi…good demo as usual..I followed the vid and worked ok but car alarm not working now so i took off neg lead off battery till i can sort out how to maybe do a reset alarm.Alarm would keep going untill i took neg off.All i did was to replace the drivers side main switch for windows with same one ,it is a used one from ebay…….Never had any probs till now…Im not sure whats caused it…….Thanks very much love the vids………its Honda accord 2006 ictdi ex
