NGK Laser Iridium plugs are the factory recommended plugs. NGK Platinum plugs would be a step down and not factory recommended.

Hello I liked you video it was very knowledgeable and as for me changing the spark plugs on my 2006 Honda pilot I’m only @ 41000 original miles. I wanted to also know could you please do a video on how to replace the high and low beams bulbs and possibly the fog lights bulbs it would be very helpful to me and lots of other people Thanks again for your expertise
Thank you, Robert! Because you showed it so easy, I just finished changing out the plugs on my 2006 Honda Pilot. The originals lasted 120,000 miles, although I wouldn’t recommend waiting that long. I would add that one might invest in a 5/8″ spark plug socket with the rubber liner. It made taking out and putting in the new plugs a snap.
You can find it in the owners manual or on the sticker under the hood. I do not know.
What’s the recommended plug gap for an ’06 honda?
A lot of those geeked up plugs do not last as long as the required plugs do. Spending the extra money is a waste in many motors because the motor is designed to run well with the OEM style plugs. The prime example is my turbo Volvo, it runs best with the cheap coper tip plugs and sometimes will misfire with platinum plugs.
Any reason why you did not use the platinum ngk plugs?
Yes I always use a little. The manual does NOT recommend the use of anti-seize on spark plugs.
