You rock man, my belt slipped off and I dont have a lot of time to try and
figure it out. Great video.

streamlight2 says:

That transmission uses 10W30 motor oil filled within within 1/4″ to 1/2″
from the top of the reservoir.

John Hadfield says:

ive got one with a roller on it, so heavy, drive has gone, thought it was
the cable, but now i see, cheers mate

Buahhhhhh!!!!!

Honda HRR is a good machine but their refusal to give tran info sucks. I
could not find ANY info on service for it. Finally stripped it myself and
flipped bronze gear to good side. Filled with #90 gear oil & adjusted the
cable.Drilled and tapped a fill hole in the trans pan and capped with a
bolt for easy topping-up. Trans pulls like new. The owners manual says
NOTHING re service for trans. This is not good enough for people like me, I
can “put an arse in a cat” & will not pay dealer for repair

Questioned you before about my Honda HRT 216, 3 speed. I have gotten all
the “cake” out of the belt housing and lubed the linkages for the drive
cables. My mower is much improved now, BUT the rear wheels STILL lock up on
me about half the time when I need to pull the mower backwards a few steps.
I just have to drag the bitch backward, which does not help my arthritic
back and joints. Other times…the wheels work perfectly. Do I need a new
belt?

Abed Elkassih says:

wasted an hour watching other videos, until I found this one, thank you for
this video, I wasn’t sure where to start, and as it turned out, that was
the same problem I was having.

Ray Villa says:

I cannot find the belt cover for the drive belt on Honda’s website as shown
on this video. Mine also got damaged.. Does anyone know the part number or
where I can find it?

JEREMY FOUNTAIN says:

HONDA CONSIDERS THOSE TRANSMISSIONS UNSERVICEABLE AND SAYS THEY ARE SEALED
FROM THE FACTORY…..THE WONT GIVE ME AN OIL TYPE OVER THE PHONE AS IT IS
NOT AVAIL FOR SALE FROM HONDA BUT IF I WERE TO GUESS ID SAY 20W50 MOTOR OIL

shitwhoami says:

GREAT VIDEO! Fixed a “thrown belt”. I don’t know if it’ll come off again,
but I can get to the heart of it quickly, now. As for the lube @
Smallgasengine1. I’d say simple grease (thick) will suffice Thanks Jeremy!.

Smallgasengine1 says:

on the bottom of the transmission has 4 bolts so u can open the gearcase
and inspect the gears and im wondering what type of lube does it take?
grease or gear oil?

Edward Holcroft says:

Thanks for making the effort. This was very helpful.

JEREMY FOUNTAIN says:

Hahahaha!

johntaylor333 says:
