palmport31 says:

Sarah Johnson says:

my ignition in my Honda was stuck on position 3, the car kept cranking over and over. I tried to wiggle the key out, but it broke inside the ignition cylinder and I had to disconnect the battery. my question is, can I change the ignition cylinder if the it is in position 3?

Somebody stuck a screwdriver in my ignition, but I can’t get the key in. Can I fire one of those guns? Grrrrrrr!

cghern75 says:

I had to replace the entire ignition switch because the actual switch part (white plastic on the end) went bad. Very easy, even with it having shear bolts.

My car won’t go into accessory to do so, now what?

sin1st3r1 says:

Thanks a lot, very informative video! I am about to try this out right now. Not your fault but only draw back is all the ads that were involved in the video, had to reload the page multiple times, skip 10+ ads sometimes 2 or more in a row and video kept stopping after the ads and restarting from beginning. But after all that crap, the video was great, and hope it works that easy for me,
PS: YouTube your spam of ads suck balls

Christopher Kosienski says:

Nice video. Well done. Very helpful.

Scott Smith says:

Great video! I’ve got to do this on my daughters CR-V. Stealership just offered to do it for her at a gazillion dollars. New sat. morning project!
Maybe superglue the spring to the back of the new lock cylinder to help align?

Holy cow, I have got to thank you for this video…my car was stolen on Valentine’s Day and I have had nothing but one problem after another and this video had my hands a bit greasy but the job done in less than a half an hour…I spent more time looking for the tool I just layed down…giggle…you take care…and thanks again…yeah…even a girl can do it!

loquan seh says:

My car was shutting off because my ignition was loose. The mechanic discover this after he replacing my distributor and a coil spring. He did not fix the ignition, he just told me to lighten up my key chain. I ignore the mechanic, so when I was driving it again on a bumpy road at 20 mph the car shut down.

The reason why I brought to the mechanic was my car just shut down when I was traveling at 70 mph.

HondaHowTo1 says:

Ooo, all caps means your yelling haha

Colon Cavitys says:

HAHAHA OK SOME FUCKER SUCK A SCREWDRIVER IN MY IGNITION AND NOW MY KEY WONT COME OUT !!!! IM GONNA REPLACE THE LOCK CYLINDER HOPEFULLY THAT WILL WORK

HondaHowTo1 says:

Well it’s entirely up to you.

danielstoverify says:

well there would be intense heat being released under my hood near the engine. i just feel funny risking it. maybe if my o2 sensors were farther away from the engine/hoses/wires

HondaHowTo1 says:

Oh, well I don’t think it would hurt nothing. What exactly do you think it’s going to hurt?

danielstoverify says:

that’s how i figured it would work. however my cat is very near my engine so i’m afraid of hot exhaust gases coming out and harming things near the engine

HondaHowTo1 says:

Well, I haven’t heard of this, but I do know how this would work, so I’ll explain as best I can. I’m guessing this would be done if your car would not start, or would cut off, because your catalytic converter was stopped up so bad. If that’s the case, you would want to remove the o2 sensor before the cat; that would allow your car to breathe, or exhale, if the cat was stopped up real bad. Let me know if that helps.

danielstoverify says:

Hey jordan, i heard that to test for a clogged exhaust to remove the o2 sensor and see if the performance improves. My question is what o2 sensor do you remove? the one before the cat or after? also do you unplug the o2 sensor electrical connection as well? Do you need to plug the hole where the o2 sensor used to be? i have a 6th gen civic.

HondaHowTo1 says:

Your welcome, and I saw your reply to my reply on the other video. I will be getting back to you in the next day or so, when I have a little time to respond.

Ashraf Khalil says:

Thanks for the demo. I have not though of this problem before but if it happens I know now how to deal with it.

HondaHowTo1 says:

It was old, and useless, and it’s to liven things up.
