Amazing piece of quality history right there. Wish I had one.

@TKro21 says:

We still have plenty of spares in the UK for this model, OEM blades cost AU$60 aftermarket blades around AU$20. It looks like in Australia most parts are now aftermarket none genuine…. Sharpen the blade mate it's got another 40 years easy.

I can't post a link, YT deletes them. But I found a single blade at DMC Mowers Australia to suit: OEM:Honda: 72511-VA5-700. Fits:Honda 19" (483mm) cut rear catcher models HR194, HR195. Price $65.75. Not sure about postage, didn't get that far.

Sharpen that blade Warro it will be fine

@shempdoll says:

I wonder if you found a replacement blade if the steel would be as good as the original? Some people say the generic stuff comes out of the same china factory as the name brand stuff, but I have noticed the Deere blades I bought for my 1993 tractor are lasting longer than the generic blades I had before.

@GwynneJenkins says:

I've got one exactly the same in Portugal which I inherited with my house 20 odd years ago still running, change the oil every year and all is well!

@mantarayal says:

I wish they still made them. My mower with an excellent Briggs and Stratton (? spelling?) engine rusted so much after 3 years I was mowing and the motor tilted and dropped through the body. Great motor, shit body. Happily, no one was hurt in the making of that lawn mowing. Did piss me off though.Cheers from NZ mate.

Never thought you’d keep a Honda for more than 6 months.

@ruahinesrider says:

Wow cost a fair bit 40yrs ago but worth it in the long run.Most mowers the body rusts out or the handles stuff out.I had a Rover 5hp mower it was awesome but the body rusted out & the motor was still mint unfortunately.I believe in buying quality & spending more on initial outlay as it cheaper in the long run & never buy the cheapest or 2nd cheapest model get atleast tge 3rd cheapest model if can't afford top model or top model is overkill.Brought cheapo battery drills when younger & don't last so buy Dewalt now & still got them.
40yrs is a Valiant Effort for a Lawn mower Warro.

@daintree2455 says:

Honda hey…bloody marvellous…that blades got a bit of life in it Warro.

@Tuckermen says:

A mower that will likely last a lifetime.
