I was screwed by honda dealership here in Brandon fl

73 Maverick says:

The better way to fix the connector lock is to use a cable tie, then spray it with Fluid Film. Or go to the boneyard and get a good connector, cut it off, then solder on the good one then heat shrink it. It's not rocket science.

73 Maverick says:

Wow, I didn't know they stopped putting spare doughnut tires in newer cars.

73 Maverick says:

I prefer a Full Frame Suv, or MPV as Mazda called them not a X-over which is a station wagon to me.

73 Maverick says:

Changing the sensor depends on where you live. If you live in the rust belt it may cost you that much to fix in a shop. Maybe the shop said up to X amount, depending on if there are issues.

Filmstarindamaking says:

Pep Boys isn’t any better. I requested a quote from them for struts and suspension and they wanted $1384. Took it to the Ford dealership and it was $100 less. Still a rip off but some things without the proper. Tools and parts you just can’t do yourself. They are all crooks!

jake lloyd says:

Damn. Scotty sure pumps out these 10 minute videos to maximize his income.

Faf Dus says:

plug in hybrids are not practical enough in my opinion but i do like them

Michael Hill says:

I once had an auto repair shop try to charge me $700 to just replace the ignition coils in a 15 year old BMW. The coils are $120 in parts. It took me about 30 minutes to do it myself and I'd never done it before. A lot of mechanics/auto repair shops are thieves.

Eddy Aceti says:

I'll never forget the day I brought my corvette in for an oil change to the Chev dealer. The battery was dying so I figured I get them to do both, even though I've changed batteries on my own many times. I get an $800 bill!!!! I'll never go back after that.

Polter says:

Learned the hard way a few days ago, I’m never taking my car to any dealership for anything.

Houtyfish27 says:

My wife and I used to drive Hondas. Any visit to the dealerships was a definite low point in the experience. I don't think Honda cares. They've gone all Ford management principles on their buyers

Star Man says:

It wasn't very expensive to have my flat repair kit replaced with a doughnut spare tire at the Acura dealer.

Peter Shisler says:

I often wish that a manufacturer would make a current vehicle like the old WW2 jeeps. No frills, not a bunch of high end electronics, and can be easily maintained with a small set of tools

james wagner says:

Yeah, that’s so China can upload information to their satellite and see everything everybody’s doing in America. It’s a Chinese spy cam.

Ed Taylor says:

Find yourself a Mexican mechanic shop or one who does mobile service. While they may overcharge gringos a little, it will still cost you a fraction of what the dealership or any franchised mechanic will gouge you.

dummatube says:

“You take the tire off…” why? Don’t you just take the wheel off?

Robert Wessel says:

Thanks, Scotty, for helping me save money. My local dealer wanted $1213 to replace my radiator. Did it myself for $220.

Darren says:

That's nothing compared to what a lawyer charges just to do basic paperwork.

Deplorable Chump says:

I got scammed by a Toyota dealership service and I never came back or went to another Toyota dealership. They charged me $400 for installing a 6”x6” mesh screen and four screws over an air vent they said prevent rodents from making a nest. Those bastards!

Jam Ram says:

I installed an electric cooling fans on my 2007 Tundra. The A/C worked very efficiently. GM, Ford and RAM had fans in their trucks, but not Toyota. It was a lot of work to install those sensors, wiring, ect.

K Bseventy says:

I needed an extra key made for my civic. I pulled in to the dealership- young guy came out – I told him what I needed. He said I'd have to come back another day because it would take an hour and a half and they were closing in an hour. Also said it would be about $250. A locksmith did the job in 10 to 15 minutes and charged $155. Key works perfectly and is identical to the original with the exception of not having the Honda emblem on it.

Samsung Galaxy says:

I bought spark plugs.. iridium for my car .. I should regap before to install

Howard Luken says:

After going to a half-dozen mechanics for my Cadillac XTS I finally took it to a Chevy dealer because they supposedly have the computer to deep diagnose it. I told them a couple of problems with fuel and replacing sensors. They call me the next day and say it will be $3, 000 to replace three fuel injectors and do a front brake job! I said give me the printout from the diagnosis and the scumbag said we don't get a print out from the computer. I said you didn't do anything I'm not paying. He tried to charge me four hundred bucks for and inspection that supposed to be free and the diagnosis which was supposed to be 160 bucks. I basically look at him like you're a thief and he suddenly says oh no charge and walks away like a pissy girl. So I get my car back with nothing done again. Now another mechanic has it he's had it for 3 days and never even looked at it yet. I'm about done with mechanics and auto shops.
