So, who does your nails?

phototristan says:

Positive first when installing the new battery, then negative.

I noticed you bought your new battery at Batteries Plus. I think they
install them for you for free. Same with Autozone.

I was thinking the same thing as far as tools, but i would recommend
gloves, especially on old batteries for future reference. Battery acid is
never good to come in contact with your skin or clothing, eventually you’ll
have a hole in you’re clothing where it touches because its very corrosive.
Old batteries tend to have some leaking somewhere.

Thank you for the info about the multimeter and what readings are needed
for a good battery. I’ve been watching “How To” videos on YouTube (need to
replace my Honda Civic battery). You don’t mention what tools will be
needed, if safety gloves are really needed, which connector needs to be
unscrewed first from the terminal (neg/black first, then pos/red), and
after replacing the battery, which connector needs to be screwed down first
(pos/red first, then neg/black). Or does it really matter?
