Daniel Potter says:

I noticed the bike was leaned over to the right when fitting the stand. Is it easy enough to do when on the side stand?

RC Butler says:

Thank you for making all these great Africa Twin videos. I’m finally pulling the trigger and picking mine up today! Will definitely be adding the center stand. You had it right, “praise the Lord!” Amen! Have a blessed week!

Jason St.Clair says:

Just a quick thank you for taking the time to post these videos. I just installed my center stand…took all of 15 min cause of you. I used a ratchet strap and paracord to stretch the springs. Once again thank you!

Great video! Thanks alot!

Claude Auger says:

That is by far the best video out there thank you so much for your help. For the springs I used a crowbar and a metal wire, put the crowbar against the rear tire and pushed with my feet while I use my hands to attach the springs.

Robert Detjen says:

To make mine easier I cranked the shock preload all the way down, and then compressed the rear end with a tie down (go through the rim, and then cross back across the wheel and up to the rack). My spring puller handle was in a tight spot – so I looped another tie down around it and used a piece of 2×2 wood as a lever against the back of the tire. It made pulling the spring easy – a second person to push the spring onto the hook would have made it simple. Of course – I fought with it for 20 or 30 minutes before doing these. Oh – and I had the handlebars strapped to the Ranch Hand bumper on my truck to stabilize the bike.

Stephen Rodgers says:

Those springs are beasts. I got the inside one on using a spring puller. The second or outside spring was impossible.
So, here’s an easy trick.
Loop 550 cord around rear hub and run it up to the spring inside of the chain. You should have one big loop from spring around rear hub and tie it closing the loop even with the rear tire. Stick a crow bar or something to use as leverage and use the tire to push against. For some reason this lines up the spring perfectly and puts it right where you want it to be with very little effort.

MrKdr500 says:

Guy's, i just put my adventure sport stand on after the recall & i looped a bungee rope around the spring then tied it to the bottom of the rear sprocket…..wheel the bike forward and presto! the spring stretched right into place…..could believe i haven't thought of this before….

Glen Johannes says:

I know you did this a couple of years ago, but I just received my centre stand for my Adventure Sports model – after months of waiting due to a factory recall on the circlip. I did not want to make a booking with the dealer to install it so I picked it up to DIY install. It did not come with any instructions to install. If it wasn't for your easy to follow video I think I would still be trying to figure it out 😉 Thank you.

jadoune340 says:

Thanks for your vidéo.
is there any reason to choose Honda's center stand instead of another ?
after all these kilometers traveled, what do you think of this central stand.
did you have any problems when you go through holes.?
does it move.?

MARTY CHIN says:

Honda has a warranty recall for the circlip, the recall states the circlip can fail causing the stand to leave the bike and or the bike to fall off the stand, see your dealer for repair.

Nico Vermaak says:

Thanks for the video, good job!
