Thanks for your cable tie tip. We have a different panel cover on our 1999 Honda Accord EX, so we modified your tip by drilling holes in the sides of the cracked plastic projections that held the white buttons that kept falling out. Then, we ran a length of 18 guage copper wire that we folded in half and passed through those drilled holes and created a secure loop that the cable ties could pull and fasten through. We used 14-inch cable ties and looped them through the wire loops and around the steel frame and tightened them at the bottom of the panel cover, and it was a perfect fix.
I had the same issue, seat back fell off. This is a good call, thanks, I found the seat back also needed the addition of glue on the top hook mounts to ensure they stayed in place after re-attaching. 12 in zip ties work well, its a bit fiddly, but it works and saves a trip to the stealer and $250. Thanks
