Come along with me as I replace the power steering pump on my own 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTL. I decide to fix this one at home instead of driving to the shop…
Do not follow any of the procedures in the video. They are preformed by a complete amateur and are incorrect in all aspects. Nothing was torqued and no manual was followed. He doesn’t even use the right fluid. Please refer to your shop manual if you wanna learn how to fix your car. This video is for entertainment only.
another great video Mr O.
Does the Asian fluid come with a fortune cookie
just changed the o-ring on top of pump, still whining and fluid is low again, looks like its time to change pump
What are you carrying if I may ask?
So, why didn't you just replace the O ring? Could probably be replaced without removing anything except the return hose.
Curse you plastic moldsman!!! lol
Very helpful had the squeal but it went away and hasn't returned 2007 Odyssey thanks
Great video and camera angle. Thanks for taking the time to do it
Very helpful video, thank you!
Eric, I wanted to tell you a big ol Alabama thank you. my 2008 Odyssey power steering pump was screaming like a monkey and I was all set to get a remanufactured part for about 165$. Before buying the part I remembered this video and watched it to refresh my memory about the steps involved and then I heard you talk about the O ring at 8:00. Mine seemed like a good candidate for this problem/fix so I went to honda got the part for 75cents and it is fixed!! thank you sir! I bought the good scotch today!
I see a piece there on your belt buddy. Safety first
no dramatic music when u brot out the brake clean what gives? lol
I was so worried until the very end when you said to tighten the pulley. Such a relief.
great video… I should do a video where every time I start a project my wife and kids start nagging at me lol…
Eric, why do you always carry your 9mm when you're at home?
"zoom"
A nice place to live and you have a nice car and you have a pistol and affectionate wife bring you coffee What do you want after Sir Eric / God bless your family
15:10 I have the same torque wrench.
Great video, step by step. How many miles you had on your Ridgeline when you did this job?
23:36 you can always make a quick funnel from a plastic soda bottle..
Nice easy repair. Always fun to watch but this gets a thumbs up for the Mrs. O cameo at the end.
