I have 2001 Honda odyssey I have leak that coming come from back heater
cord hoses on to my carpet what hoses do I need

BundysGarage says:

You will need about 5 feet of coolant hose to replace the stock heater
hoses.

Should you fire up the car first before putting back everything to verify
leaks?

Ross Richards says:

2007 odyssey. Noticed leak at rear passenger door . Dealer claims there are
4 hoses to change at cost of 1k. Does not sound reasonable, do all 4 hoses
have to changed?

BundysGarage says:

That is a great idea. If you decide to start the engine make sure you check
the coolant level in the radiator before you start the engine. Assuming you
find no leaks, and after the engine has cooled, check the coolant level in
the reservoir bottle. If you do find a leak, double check the new hoses for
a cut or crack and double check the hose clamps (placement, holding
strength, etc.). If both of those check out, check the piping the hose
connects too and then the heater core.

BundysGarage says:

@Ross Richards, there are 4 hoses back there. 2 are coolant hoses, 2 are
for the AC system, high and low pressure R-134 lines. If the leak is green
coolant than it could be the lines or the core. If it is the core, the AC
system has to be evacuated and refilled as well as the coolant lost during
line replacement. I would get a second opinion for why it is leaking. If
you have an estimate you can scan it and email it to me if you feel
comfortable with that, so I can see what they are saying.
