Are you using the DDM hid Kit? Also, when push the original headlight socket into the HID ballast you will hear it click. If you do not hear the click, it is not pushed in far enough. To give it more leverage, grab the original headlight harness and stick it into the HID ballast… next use your palm to push the plug into the ballast. You must heard and feel the click. Also, if that doesn’t work.. you have to flip it.. The ballast has a + and – port and it must match.

Jephu says:

Yes, you can use H11 bulb but you will get the return wire shadow on the beam pattern.
Difference between the H11 and H11b is where the return wire is position when locked into the socket housing. In H11 the return wire is on top position (12 o’clock) and in H11B the return wire is on the bottom (6 o’clock) in the housing.

Watchdog826 says:

Try flipping the connector over.

bacardiconlimon says:

can you use a H11 bulb instead of a H11b?

Jephu says:

I haven’t received my foglight leds yet. But, I’m planning to install the Aero kit this labor day weekend. While I make a video of that, I will do a quick video on how to remove the foglight bezel cover to replace the bulb.

rpmbxdj says:

Jephu, Have you done a Fog Light bulb change yet? I’m looking to change my Fog lights to LED bulbs but I have not seen an write ups on this. Any help would be great!

Jephu says:

Nope, you do not need a relay harness to install the HID on ANY honda.

Homecmk says:

Don’t you need a relay on the 2013 Accord, tried to install but it didn’t work?

Jephu says:

Sorry, I do not have the v6 model so I do not know if it matches well with the oem led drl lights.

Jephu says:

Also, if you did remove the extra wire.. try using it. Plug one end the the HID ballast and the other end to the stock wire harness. it might be easier to plug in since there is more slack on the line.

Michael Mahjoub says:

Does the 5k match well with the LED daylight running lights? also are you thinking about changing your fogs to HID as well?

Andres Ramirez says:

I removed the extension wires and wired just like you show on the video pushing the connector as far as possible and still dont work…. dont know what to do now

Jephu says:

Those wires are used as “extension” wire for the ballast to the OEM harness connectors. You would plug one end to the ballast and the other end to the OEM wire hanress.

alxdacrow says:

Hi. Just curious. What’s the 2 wires u pull it out for? What are those wires suppose to be?

Beau Portman says:

I have pretty large hands as well I didn’t find it thwt difficult you just have to get the right angle and put it rather hard and turn. I did struggle somewhat to get it straight up and down.

Jephu says:

I placed it on the same place as the passenger side but on the driver side. Check my Video..I show where I mounted the ballast on the driver side @ 7:56 mark.

automaniac85 says:

where did you mount your ballast for the driver side bro ? do you have the picture of it ? and im gonna use aluminum foil to wrap the ballast just in case it gets too hot on the engine lol.

Jephu says:

The H11 bulb they sell is the type B with the return wire on the bottom. Just place a order for H11 bulb and they will send you the type b type.

Andres Ramirez says:

I notice that you have purchased the HIDs from DMM. on their website shows that they sell the H11 bulb not the H11b bulb as the video shows in the beginning

Jephu says:

Removing the battery will make it much easier. Also, the wire harness that I removed from the HID bulb is actually a extender for the HID ballast to the factory bulb harness. You can use that to plug into the factory harness and then plug the other end to the HID ballast.

automaniac85 says:

bro, i have a big hand, is there any easy way to install the driver side bulb ? how did you install yours? do you take off the car battery ? thx
