No I did not need to re-adjust the floats after replacing the float bowl needle.

I have never been mechanically inclined but watched your video and was able to pull the carb on my son’s CRF 80 and fix it from leaking thank you!

antman8646 says:

how do you flood a motorcycle

DIRTBIKING IS LIFE says:

that’s cause the idol screws are probably loose they either need to be tightened or clean out the carb completely!

philip brantley says:

thanks

Vediann says:

turn the petcock off at the gas tank. if you don’t have a petcock drain it into a bucket.

philip brantley says:

i started taking off my carburetor to my ttr 125l and it started overflowing gas so i had to quickly put it back on, is there a way to get past it, i was thinking of just riding it out and draining the gas, is that what im supposed to do??

Clarence Holden says:

I would drain the gas, put new gas in tank and clean the carburetor of all shellac including hinge pin.

Clarence Holden says:

Take the carb off and clean all parts. You might have the same problem as the video but with a good gasket and a plugged overflow the gas will follow the next easiest route into the air filter.

Clarence Holden says:

If the pin was stuck open would it not have been the little rod on the hinge that was stuck. There should be no way for the pin to be stuck seeing as it would not be touching anything. If the hinge rid that you had a hard time taking out was gummed up with shallac the float would not move. I hope you cleaned it too.

Hi, I have a moped and there is fuel leaking into the air filter, anyone have any ideas why and how I can stop this as it he bike wont run

Ashton Lanier says:

nice little café racer.

MagicObsession1373 says:

Would this cause the bike to idle at high RPM’s? I got a bike that was sitting for about 5 years and finally got it started. The air filter was completely clogged so after fixing that it started to idle at about 9,000 RPM and I have no idea what is causing that. It only started doing that after new air filter, I never adjusted idle screws

BoY860 says:

My exhaust leaks gas or something. It smokes white and I cleaned all the carbs to see if it helps it idled a little better then shut off again… One of the four float valves damaged the rubber tip was damaged and off.. could this be the reason why my bike won’t run for more then a minute

966alx says:

It`s just for the overflow so that it isn`t dripping on the engine but on the ground 🙂

Cesar Benavides says:

Can you tell me whats the little hose on the bottom for?? and those it have to be connected some where??

paintball644 says:

I filled up the Honda Shadow’s tank to store it for the winter but started to leak from the overflow tube. Is that normal?

Jeff Stanton says:

Thanks, I’m going to try this tonight on my, husky wr 250, same thing, turn the gas valve to on and all my expensive race fuel just starts pouring out! Thanks for the video bro.

Dan OLOONEY says:

my pin has devloped a seat is that beyond repair? its 35 bucks, unreal, its a 1975 xl 250, thx 4 the vid is their a way to test it with out smelling like gas, ew

CalQwax says:

I don’t know everything about your situation but when I have a little motorcycle that won’t start by using the kick starter I will try push starting it. It is possible you have flooded the bike, too much gas, so with lots of gas you will need lots of air to make it run. If flooded, try kick starting it with the throttle wide open or push start it in 2nd gear with the throttle wide open. Try to store the bike with the fuel turned off if the bike isn’t used often.

Charles Lunsford says:

Can this cause the bike not to start? if its sitting in the carb and not getting to the cylinder? my bike cranks but wont turn over I had it running I think i might have left the fuel line open over night and the over flow is dripping.

Brian Hermanson says:

anybody know if it’s possible to install new carb gaskets on an 86 Honda VFR 750 interceptor, without taking the carbs off?
