Here is the all new key fob from Honda for 2022. It’s currently in use on the Civic and Accord. This fob is very difficult to get open so take your time and don’t force anything as the plastic is somewhat fragile and will not stand up to abuse. You need your replacement battery as well as a flat tip screwdriver. It works best if the flat head screwdriver is thicker and can fill in the internal plastic gap you use to split the two halves. Gentle rock your screwdriver from side to side until the two halves split open. Once that is open, getting to the battery is easy. When you’re ready to put the two halves back together, you will need to make sure they are perfectly lined up and you will need to squeeze the two halves together with quite a bit of force.
