Sry for the late reply. Steering wheel is a little off. I had to change the
driver side tie rod end. I marked it but I guess removing the ball joint
and the fork might of cause my alignment to go off. I found out one of my
solenoids on the trans was leaking. I took that solenoid from my old tranny
and exchanged it with the one from the new one. Ended up going to the
dealer to buy a new gasket for it. The noise went away but the lights are
still on, VSA, ABS, /!. SRS was never! I guess I’ll change the ABS sensors
first to see if that makes a change. Maybe change the brake light switch
too. But thanks for the help! Appreciate the quick responses! SUSCRIBED!
My steering wheel is a little off now. It’s slightly tilted to the right
when driving straight. I also changed my driver side tie rod. Not sure if
that can affect the steering wheel to be off. I haven’t checked the torque
converter bolts but will do it tmrw morning. My car has 105k miles on it
and the new tranny has 78k miles. The only plugs that we’re unplugged we’re
the sensors from the tranny. I will look for any unplugged plugs tmrw also.
I will update if anything changes or not.
Thanks for the help also!
Heyy just got done replacing the transmission and getting the subframe on.
Got the car to turn on and it is driving on but my vsa/srs lights are on.
Did yours turn on too? Also there’s a noise coming from the area of the
torque converter. Are u familiar with that? I bought the new trans from a
well known junk yard and it has low miles on it. I wouldn’t thinking the
torque converter is bad???..
Is your steering wheel back in the same exact place?Check your torque
converter bolts and the plate covering it.How many miles? No my vsa/srs
lights are not on. make sure you plugged everything back in
Oh ok I see what I did.I dropped the subframe first.since It has the 2 side
mounts. Then I used a jackstand under the engine with a block of wood to
hold engine while I drop transmission. You can get the engine support bar
from HarborFreight.I used the support bar in another video on a accord
Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve been taking parts off my tsx slowly. Even
though this video was specifically for accords it helped me a lot since the
tsx and 03-07 accords share the same engine. Wouldn’t the engine need
support since it only has 1 mount holding it up while the tranny is off? Or
is there another mount that also helps support the engine besides the front
and rear since those comes out with the subframe?
I didn’t use anything just a jackstand to hold the engines weight overnight
What was used to support the engine while you took out the transmission?
I believe 03′-07′ are similiar
yeah
just got rid of my 97Accord. Trans was gone. I just didn’t want to do all
that work. thanks for sharing keep up the great work.
trans mount and front mount were bad
Thanks for your video. It helped me out a lot.
I haven’t seen a manual accord yet.I wouldn’t be surprised if the subframe
would have to be dropped too
is there a difference between 04 and honda accord tranny cause i have a 04
i believe they changed the tranny in 04 and 06 but i am not sure so if you
could please help me out
As I see from the video upper transmission mount was broken. Would you
confirm the rest of the mounts were ok?
What symptoms did you get to know you had to replace the transmission all
together im getting codes for the solenoid in hopes that it doesnt come
this far.
you can change a clutch on the 02 accord without dropping subframe. did one
today
Slipping for a while then it stopped working completely
you can only use 03 and 04 trans
i take it this was an automatic tranny?
