Nthefastlane says:

The problem with this transmission was more than likely the input shaft
bearing in the bottom of the transmission. I’ve replaced them and this is
the exact noise you get.

pawelgatorade says:

Thank you for responding .I don’t hear any noise ,so I can exclude lost
spring possibility .I drive ’97 saturn 160k miles Previous owner changed
side to side shifter linkage . My problem stays the same for about few
months .If it gets worse and I decide invest some money in this car ,I’ll
keep you posted

Winston Buzon says:

I know, tell me about it! Lol! You can see the video on my channel!

perfectionclutch says:

Winston, Have fun bleeding that one, long cross over route of line, hides
lots of air. Good luck. Gary

perfectionclutch says:

Have not worked on a Pulsar. The FWD’s that we have worked on did not
require. More research if you are not sure. Gary

perfectionclutch says:

If a disc spring falls out I’d expect sometimes to hear a ticking sound IF
you were trying to keep the car from moving and in gear. Disc not moving
freely on splines, might be more annoying and even occasional with normal
driving after shifting out of 1st. Car mileage, clutch history etc….. Gary

pawelgatorade says:

do you know what could cause not disengaging my clutch ?.Slave cylinder is
pushing fork normally. Is it possible that one of the springs from disc has
fallen out? Or disc is not moving freely on its keyways, rubbing flywheel
all the time ? And i should mention once i force it into one of the
gears(with grinding sound),clutch becomes disengaged but after few steps on
the clutch ,problem comes back.I hate when it happens on intersection

DreamBoulevard says:

When you take out the trans do you need to put a bar in where the drive
shafts came out. I read that in the workshop manual but havent seen anyone
do it on their youtube videos? My car is a 1990 Nissan Pulsar.

Winston Buzon says:

I watched this video before I installed my flywheel and clutch on my 91
Honda Accord with JDM H23A. I made a video too for educational purposes.
Came out perfect. Did a video on it, doing the clutch bleed, can’t wait to
post it soon. Then the startup…

I still wish we had a more professional “shop studio” better lighting,
quiter. One thing I’m trying very hard about is to make the presentation
real world. No stunt doubles, if I see or step in a trap I’ll try to
explain how to prevent it. some of these presentations might be built from
over 100 shots, edited, compiled etc. but guarntee this, there ain’t no
script or cue cards. I’m in my 33 year in the clutch industry. I own 3
handshakers. Beep Beep Beep. Gary

mannys9130 says:

Also, I think this was an excellent clutch job how-to vid. I know people
are educated when they use a torque wrench and go in the pattern. Good job!

mannys9130 says:

I’m saying input shaft bearing. A noise with a disengaged clutch is the TO
or pilot bearing. A noise with an engaged clutch and trans in N is an input
bearing. Honda trans usually have to be split open to change that.

europhiCc says:

i just was joking my man .i drive tower[standup] all day i hear it 8-10 hrs
a day but gj man cause u know a tower in reverse all day so i always hear
that beeper in my sleep lol

perfectionclutch says:

Sorry ’bout that. Gary

europhiCc says:

shut that dam forklift up!

perfectionclutch says:

ali bilal, If you were removing and reinstalling the exact same cover, then
match marking is possible on some applications. But many import
applications use a staggered dowel pin system that only allows one cover to
flywheel orientation. Match marking wouldn’t work on these systems, Gary

Msonjo916 says:

Hi Mr Perfectionclutch. question for you. do you to matchmarking between
pressure plate and flywheel

d nollem says:

Your clutch is hydraulic and it has a leak in it maybe ?

mjfannnnnnnnnn says:

great video.

Ed Rooney says:

Its a 2003 civic vtec

perfectionclutch says:

Ed, That most likely is just a large air bubble. Until you have a
completely bled system with no air, the pedal is not being pushed back like
it should. Vehicle details would be very helpful. Not all systems get the
same suggestion, varies with appl. Gary

Ed Rooney says:

Also when cap was off reservoir my friend pushed on the clutch. I don’t
think that would do anything but I have herd that it can ruin the cylinder

Ed Rooney says:

I just replaced a clutch and everything’s good, but when I went to bleed
the clutch the pedal has no push back and stays on the floor. What is going
on with this.
