Thanks a lot for your video! You provided a great video so I can clean out my EGR valve on my 01 Accord and saved me money!

edgenet1 says:

It it possible to not to remove the intake and use the clean-out and a small snake to clean the port.

Wonderful. Let us know how it goes and thank you for expressing your gratitude. It’s been neat to see how many people it’s helped. The power of the internet is an amazing thing. I don’t even own the van anymore. The transmission went bad in it for the second time and with as many miles as it had on the van I just ended up selling it to a guy “as is” for $1000.

Let us know if you get yours fixed.

Did this actually work? Im about to do it

Noneofya B. says:

Because it’s a DOHC engine by honda, so its logical they would be equipped with vtec if you knew what it actually does.

Sack Head says:

Well it made my day to know I helped save you some money. Thanks for the nice note.

Why does a mini van have a V-tech

inteltavangar says:

That helps those enthusiasts who always want to do the PM. I recently got a 99 Oddy and the powersteeering froze while driving. I jumped on it to make it safely home and started working on PSP switch removal, that required me to remove pass-front tire, axle and finally the whole PS line, , just to remove the PSPressure switch…what a bitch. After filling, I testdrove it making full turns to dislodge the air and that worked after 2 miles of driving. It is ok since. I miss my old BMW. Thanks.

Sack Head says:

You’re very welcome!

…that’s why I am buying a Toyota

Adam Menkin says:

First remove the intake snorkle entirely. Take a 12mm deep socket with a 3″ extension on the wrench and you can fit it to the hidden bolt by touch.
Take the EGR valve off too to make sure that cleaner and gunk that you wash out of the port has somewhere to go.
