lol, Thanks. Timing belts are a lot of work and if you are NOT a mechanic, you need detailed instructions.
I guarantee you the people that give thumbs down on timing belt videos are the small group that gets angry about the fact that the job, and the video, takes a long time.
They complain on my timing videos too. They think the video should take only 8-10 minutes. That’s how I can always tell they have never TOUCHED a timing belt before.
This video is MAN-tastic. Good job.
Excellent video, the best by far, thumbs up!
Thanks.
First time doing the Odyssey so I would say it took me more time because I was dealing with other issues (oil leak). Give 5 hours if you are a good pace worker, 6 if you are slow like me. Someone with mechanical experience can do the job in 3-1/2 to 4 hours.
I believe anyone that feels comfortable with doing brake pads can do this job.
wonderful video so far! Will be honest, don’t have the time to watch through it all now, but I will soon. My 2003 Honda Odyssey is in need of a replacement, you make it look like a breeze. Do you believe someone with beginner/novice auto knowledge can handle this job?
how many total hours did it take you?
Your doing a wonderful service to us all brother, thanks again!
You are welcome. Glad it helped.
I like the way you do your jobs! Loosening the crank bolt MISTAKE made by many people was a great point, indeed. I learned something today. Thanks.
LOL, Thanks.
Sounds like somebody was just too lazy to do the work. This is a great tutorial.
Why did someone give me a thumbs down and not tell me why? Is it the video or the job they don’t want to do?
