Thankyou for your video. My roommate and I changed the front ones on his honda last weekend and it wasn’t that hard at all. 🙂 His car is running awesome again now.

Wendy Orocker says:

I don’t know if you’re online right now but I need to get this done by the end of the weekend. I’m replacing axels in my 91 accord. My question. I bought a replacement one and it doesn’t have a counter balance on it. The loser at “Lordco” told me to swap it out. I can’t swap it without taking the ends off. Do I need that counter balance on there? The old one has one but the new one doesn’t and the lordco guy said I didn’t need it. Is that true?

Autofanatic28 says:

Would this procedure be the same for newer Accords? Thanks!

Nice video. Great music for working on a car.

jockellis says:

The outer side of the brake rotor looks just like mine, rusty. I bet it has lines on it, too. My ’91 wagon shudders and I feel that the brake was not working properly. Am going to install rebuilt caliper when finished with cv axles. Had rotors turned, too. Right side was fine when I took it off.

jockellis says:

I’m going to hazard a guess that all FWD cv axle swaps are pretty much the same. Further, I would bet that all RWD cv axle changes are much the same, too.

@Guitardave123 I just changed my accord from automatic to manual and everything is ready to go except the Drivers side axle. Its a bit to fat and is hitting the block so it wont go in all the way, Im guessing the automatic axels wont fit to my tranny? Because the passenger side is good, just the drivers side thats killing me..
Much appriciated

Great video and thanks for the subtitles. I muted the music which made it much more watchable.

Bare my English. I have similar car (coupe version) and I have to replace front bearings. I have heard many horror stories about it, so that’s going to be very interesting.

Get rid of this dumb ass music!!!!

guitardave123 says:

When I filmed this, there were very strong wind gusts that ruined the original audio. It was easier for me to add music to the video rather than leave the audio blank. I added captions to try to replace the missing audio since I don’t have a mic to do voiceovers.

Nice video, I have a 2000 Corolla, my driver’s side vibrates at about 45 MPH on the expressway. I thought it was a wheel out of balance, but I swapped two tires and I still get the vibration. I get no clicking noise at all, not even when I turn left or right. I also do not hear no noises when its going down the street (wheel bearings), what do you think it is? Axle? I already replaced ball joints, stabilizer links and anti sway bar bushings.

europhiCc says:

i fudgin hate those axel nuts i took it to shop lol

David DeRolph says:

Good video but I would a 100x have rather heard some accompanying voice explanation instead of the music. Why some people use music with such videos has always puzzled me. Am I the only viewed who finds the music distracting? I need to concentrate on the video, not listen to music. Not to mention some of us might find your selection of music hideous. Granted, I can mute the music, and I did. Still, you’re missing an opportunity to make your video even more effective by not combining with voice.

saterjason says:

Awesome vid. Very informative. Also great choice in music. Opeth is way sick.

Zubirrex says:

Too bad this video had to be ruined by a song with singing by a gorilla being sodomized by a rhinoceros.

philztheone says:

Nice. I really appreciated the natural outdoor lighting. Great camera angles. Rock steady camera. Well done! Thank you.
