Why in foo-flockin' Hell would they make something that vital, and that highly stressed, out of plastic?! That's about as stupid as stupid gets. And for Joe Sixpack, who doesn't know which end of a screwdriver is up, I wonder how much his local dealer scalps him for when he comes in with a tailgate that doesn't work? You know it's astronomical.
you can save yourself all these problems and just buy a Ford truck like I did 😉 I think GM is pretty much non union after the bailouts lol Ford didn't take a dime, they just kept on building good trucks . now don't get me wrong, I think Ford builds crappy cars but when it comes two trucks especially big trucks like my 1 ton Ford is the way to go just my humble opinion after being a GM guy for years.
