HOW CAN WE FIX OUR BROKEN FAMILY?
Isaiah 53:1-12
I. The World hates the savior, doctrine (v. 1-3).
Isaiah asks plainly, “Whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” In the time of Isaiah, the time Jesus walked the earth as man, and the time we live in now, many people still turn their
backs on Him in a hateful manner.
II. Four Considerations of Jesus:
1. That therein he did his Father’s will (v. 4, 6, 10).
2. That thereby he made atonement for the sin of man (v. 4-6, 8, 11, 12), for it was not for any sin
of his own that he suffered (v. 9).
3. That he bore his sufferings with invincible and exemplary patience (v. 7).
4. That he should prosper in his undertaking, and his sufferings should end in his immortal honor
(v. 10-12).
• E_______ the grace of God:
Hebrews 4:15 reminds us that Jesus was without sin but faced temptations just as we do.
Recognize that God’s grace is available to restore and heal your brokenness.
Allow His grace to transform your heart and mind.
• R______ your mind through God’s Word:
Our minds are transformed by actively resisting the worldly influences around us and, instead
immersing ourselves in the truths and teachings of Scripture.
This renewal enables us to discern and understand God’s will, leading us to live in a way that is
pleasing to Him.
• Find c________ in Jesus’ role as the Healer:
Matthew 8:17 states that Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah by taking our infirmities and
carrying our diseases.
Trust in Jesus as the ultimate healer who can release and alleviate your pains and sorrows.

FROM THE LEADERSHIP TEAM
A SPOTLIGHT on The Global Methodist Church
The Global Methodist Church (GMC) is based on traditional Wesleyan theology and was officially launched on May 1, 2022, as an alternative for churches in disagreement with the UMC’s direction and unscriptural actions. It is composed of like-minded churches in many nations and focuses on global diversity and world missions. The apportionment to the General Conference of the Global Methodist Church shall be 1% of General income, capped at 1.5% per Discipline. The additional apportionment to the North Alabama Conference of the Global Methodist church is currently 1% but could be amended, in the future, to an amount not to exceed 5%. Any change in the apportionment percentage of the North Alabama Conference would require a 2/3 majority vote of the Annual Conference. A streamlined church hierarchy overseen by term-limited elected Bishops provides leadership and oversight for the organization. Pastors are assigned to local churches by the Bishops and cabinet but in strong collaboration with church leadership. The GMC has a strong pro-life stance. Women can hold any position in the GMC, including becoming clergy, and incoming pastors can continue participating in the Wespath pension plan. The GMC mission statement is: “To make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.”
