NJprepper321 says:

…never mind lol. my connections were perfect, it was just a bad relay! although it clicked it was stuck in the open position somehow. dident think it was the relay cause it was brand new from radio shack. but sure enough i picked up another from advance auto swapped it out and problem solved! …..moral of the story STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM RADIO DUMP PARTS!

NJprepper321 says:

any ideas?? im trying to connect cab lights to my truck. relay is 85 ground /87 12v in /30 12v out /86 to switch. no matter what i do the lights are always on. if i only connect 85 & 86 relay clicks. if i connect 30 also lights dont come on but relay clicks. as soon as i connect 87 the lights come on and stay on even if i turn off switch. 86 to switch is a single wire tapped into existing headlight switch. im soo lost any advice would be a big help!

Are you kidding??
He applied silicone and then screwed that light onto the roof with metal shavings underneath it and all around it.

Vacuuming up all of the metal shavings with a soft bristle brush attachment on the vacuum hose (before proceeding with the installation) would have been a clean job.

Dear Recon,

can you make an install video for guys with a Suburban or Tahoe that do not have cab lights from the factory? my 02 Suburban 2500 I want to install cab lights but not sure of what all to purchase from you guys. Also I want to install side markers into my rear fender flares (like the quadrasteers had)

clean job

Ben Dover says:

Mine are on their third year….no problems. I siliconed them before install.

espey34 says:

I have heard nothing but terrible things about recon products and customer service. I know multiple people who have had their lights leak, condensate, and LED’s burn out within the first year with no support from recon. and after watching that video i probably would have murdered you for leaving metal shavings underneath the light!

Tungsten23 says:

Don’t want to sound like a troll, but why not just do Slick Top Cab/roof Lights?

linuxfr33k says:

I got my kit in the mail yesterday and there were NO instructions… and they don’t appear to be the same as this kit even tho I ordered them for an ’08 GMC Sierra

Juan Venadero says:

Hopefully you didnt scratch the shit out of the roof with all those metal shavings
