I opened the panel on my 2000 envoy about a week ago but i couldn’t find the loction for the cabian filter .after watching your video i think i’m gonna give it an other shot . thanks for the video and good job by the way .

I own an 05 gmc envoy do they have cabin air filter? Or can one be installed like the trail blazers?

Walt F says:

Not recommended! This procedure will severely restrict the air flow of your HVAC system. I tried this procedure and removed the filters the next day. Your blower motor will work too hard and the output from the vents will be diminished. This procedure does nothing to keep contaminants out of the first half of your system anyway. Don’t be fooled. Use a good system cleaner once in while to keep musty odors away.

Just installed a set in my 2003 Envoy and you nailed it with this video! Very easy and filters were easy to find. Metalliks28, I wondered the same thing when I first watched the video but found out that the filters actually sit side by side in the slot so once installed, they can both be seen from the opening — it will be simple to replace filters — simply remove the one directly above the removable cover and then slide the other one over and it will come out too. Thanks, Mike for this vid

Definitely not the same on a 2008 Envoy. There is no 2nd cover with 1 screw to access the empty slot. Must have to somehow modify but I couldn’t see anywhere where to even begin to cut to access any slot.

metalliks28 says:

Uhmmm, how do you get the first filter you installed OUT?

Kevin Dorsey says:

Great Video. Have you any tips on how to modify 2007 and up Envoy’s to accept filters?

guillermo zapata says:

I have a 2006 trailblazer ext, it seems that not the same. Will filter?.

Joe B says:

will this work with a 2006 Chevy trailblazer EXT?

TheBearbowhunter says:

Thanks for the vid. Installed the filters last week

I looked at my car (2005 Trailblazer). The part that you removed on your car is not like mine. Looks like I have to cut it out. Am I correct on this?
