How to Replace your Alternator on a 2013 GMC Sierra DIY Backyard/Hack

Load the Parts Canon & Enjoy the Ride. I show you some back yard hacks as well as some tricks on how to hack your way through some desert rodent damage. Butt connectors are not my go too, but yes they do work in a pinch. Just my opinion. Cheers!

Check out Kroil……amazing stuff to use where you would use PB Blaster. There is nothing like it. Amazing stuff.

Martin Calvillo says:

just so you know rebuilding that connector is still a possibility when you decide to go back in there and fix it. I've had to do it on a couple of customer vehicles when a pigtail is unavailable. you take apart the connector and remove the pin. remove the rubber plug that is crimped on to make the connector water tight and then solder a length of copper wire to that little piece left over. and then put it all back together. Not the first choice in repairing harnesses but when there is no pigtail available it is what I opt for

Dawm Justin I got worried when you hit them tangs with the punch & hammer, I’ve seen them ears on that bracket crack & break off plenty of times

Awsome thanks mate

14.75 after starting no load and cold doesn't bother me at all. Whats funny is PB Blaster is made in Ohio and Fluid Film is made in California.

Matt Wilson says:

Instead of using a hammer, I use a puller consisting of a 19mm socket, a bolt, a nut, and a washer. Pushes them through every time.

Great video Justin thanks for sharing.

Conrail Fan says:

Justin is it just me or is it a
mechanics car is always the last
to be fixed!! I had a customer who
brought his 2002 Buick LeSaber
into the dealership I worked at
and a ground hog had climbed
under the hood and went to town
chewing on everything, the reason
I know it was a groundhog was it
was still there when I opened the
the hood!!! The Service manager
called the Dog catcher and he came
in and got a noose on it and got it
out of the engine bay, that thing
had to weigh 30 pounds!!!
Cheers and Dueces!!!
