Y'all didn't have A.C. on this on… I do. Will it have to come off?

dtabor88 says:

I dont think this distributor is adjustable

Darrell Williams says:

How much will something like this cost for my 04 gmc Yukon

Jackedrado says:

Did this on the exact same motor due to some broken bolts in the manifold. We put the gasket maker on the valley pretty thick, but now it’s idling high at around 1300rpm. If there’s a leak at that valley seal will it cause a vacuum leak? Leak down test showed nothing

John Walker says:

I wouldn't install any gaskets with those nasty gloves on….

John Walker says:

step one, soak that dirty SOB with oven cleaner then power wash it.

I don't believe you need to remove any of the power steering stuff for this job. For heads, sure, but not intake manifold gaskets. Way more work than it's worth.

MrBowNaxe says:

Excellent video!  Not looking forward to doing this job but, when I do I will use this one for help.  I have done the upper intake when I replaced my injectors and wish I knew to do the lower while it was all apart!  Same process with all the wires and harnesses… Thanks again.

Just did the job with my 1999 2 door tahoe. This video made it a breeze so thank you guys so much. Couldn't have done it without you guys. Now I have to figure out some weird timing things going on….

how do you change head gaskets on 88 gmc sierra

Christie Turner says:

Once you take all the hoses off, how do you keep a track of putting them back where they belong

Milk Manson says:

Thanks Jimmy Kimmel.

edgar heredia says:

Does the intake manifold need to be resurfaced in order to sit flat while changing the gasket or just clean? Also does the block need to be resurfaced as well or just cleaned?

JangusMc says:

I just completed this job on my 1998 Silverado. I have very little mechanical experience and this job would have been way over my head if it wasn't for this video. I can't express how much I appreciate the detailed video, the fantastic camera angles, and thorough explanation of what was going on. There were a few small differences between my vehicle and the one in the video, but nothing significant. This video saved me quite a bit of money over taking it to a mechanic. I wish I could buy you guys a beer. Thank you so much for posting this.

Jack says:

I bought that power steering pump pulley tool (remover and installer) and the installer wouldn't fit. Same issue as y'all. Tried the alternator bracket thread hack and didn't work either. The pulley gets on about 3/4 of the way and won't budge anymore. Even tried buying a new pulley thinking I mushroomed the originally pulley when removing it. I even tried heating the pulley. Any ideas?

Jack says:

Are these specs the same for a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe 5.7?

How do I adjust the timing with a scan tool?
