Commomsense1234 Smith says:

Up here in the rust belt we need to change our hardware every time and grease under the hardware so the hardware is not rust jacked into the pads. That car is not a rust belt vehicle.

Skippy Jones says:

Thank you for sharing I’m wondering if this would be the same on the 2018

Andy Hernandez says:

You don’t need to take out the caliper in two part. You can take the whole caliper in one part, replace the pads and put the caliper back.

Mike Stefanik says:

U don’t need to clean ur rotars any more they stop putting that stuff on them

Aldo C. says:

Guessing that was brake grease used on the hub?

Hoserfishing says:

Using your hand as an impact on metal tools won't bother you now but many older mechanics warn you not to, as you will pay for it later.

George Boychuck says:

Is this the same in a 08 outlook?

tony Kari says:

Great video as usual. Thanks

eric zayonce says:

On the hub surface you used regular grease it looks like, and on the carrier pins you used brake grease what's the difference?

ReRe says:

Excellent vid

Joshua Marcus says:

In the video you showed compressing the calipers with the wide jaw pliers, it looked like it may have been biting the boots. To avoid this I always use a C-clamp with one of the old pads, it allows me to compress both positions at once without biting the boot

Carl Rummel says:

Used this video to install rotors and pads on my '13 Acadia – the video made it easy! But, it could not have saved me from the pervasive "rotor screw" issue. I had to drill out 3 of the 4 screws, despite using penetrating solvent, a torch, and banging with a screwdriver/hammer. After breaking off a Torx bit in each of the first 3 screws, didn't bother on the 4th, so I wouldn't have to drill it out too. The one screw I was able to remove had a broken Torx bit in it and I created a slot with a dremel and used a screwdriver. ***NOTE: after installing the new brakes and rotors, check for a BREAK-IN/BEDDING PROCEDURE!!!

2000GT says:

Why is there a different torque spec for the front and rear caliper bolts? Also 140 ft/lb torque for lug nuts seem like a lot of torque.

Stanley Coleman says:

Thanks a lot for this video. I changed the brakes on my 2017 and it went great!

Roy McCloud says:

When do you bleed the brakes?

Josh Wheaton says:

These videos are the only reason I buy my parts from 1A Auto.

Darin Colvey says:

Excellent simple instructional video. Thank you

David Lynn says:

I have a constant grinding noise after doing a 2013 acadia only difference was 2 cylinders on the brake pad any idea why I would have this problem? Is it possible the clips are scraping against the rotor?

Erik Lopez says:

I replaced the booster, master cylinder, abs module and now i went from having no brakes to the brakes applying to much pressure. Please HELP!

I have 1996 Explorer 154000 miles , working perfect, few days ago the car would not start in the morning, jump the battery then everything work all day and night , the next morning the battery would not work can't start the car , after jumping the car I check battery it is good I checked the Alternator it is working fine [ it is 4 months old] I noticed the battery light on dash board do not come on at all when starting the car, all lights come on and turn off on the dashboard but not the battery light.
One night I unhook the negative [black wire] from battery and connect in the morning the car started fine. It looks like I have short somewhere which is draining the battery overnight .
Please help with any suggestion how to fix the battery light so it will come on and off and how to check for electrical shortening which is draining the battery .
Zack
