Thanks for looking. Hope I helped you to save some money. The dealer or
neighborhood mechanic will charge you hundreds. You can do the job in less
than a hour with no experience and no help. Pay yourself hundreds to work
on your own car or charge someone $50 or more to fix theirs.
for my 97 gmc sierra there are 2 bolts that are hard to see. you need an
extension that goes through the bottom of frame to the top.so theres a hole
in the bottome of the frame.
@Bazzaland Sorry I didnt post the info before but after seeing what you
paid for your fuel pump I have to give out the number of the place where i
purchase mine from. 909-724-4397 google the phone number to get the
address. They sale fuel pumps on ebay also. 50 something for just a pump
and about 110 for the whole pump assembly . Tell them a guy on youtube is
promoting them so maybe I’ll get a discount.
I have a 2006 2500 HD with a 6.5 foot bed. I removed the bed from the
truck. It was rather simple, 4 bolts on each side. My question is how do
you remove the fuel pump lines. Is there a special tool required for those.
I noticed in your video you indicated that 2007 onward needed a special
tool. But I cannot seem to remove the 2 outside lines from the pump. The
middle one was easy but it had a different type of connector.
I have been watching fuel pump replacement videos all night and I’m glad I
found this one because thats an awesome idea raising the bed. This is going
to save me from laying on my ice drive way all day tomorrow! Thanks for
sharing!
I just replaced the fuel pump in my ’02 Silverado 1500 and want to THANK
YOU for posting your helpful informative video. It wasn’t too bad at
all…they upgraded one of the electrical connectors though and I had to
spice in the new fitting for it. I bought the whole assembly $270.00 at
Advanced Auto. Thanks again for your help! Cheers Mate! ~Baz in Florida
