1aauto says:

You might have a bad turn signal switch.

Chris Leon says:

Hi 1aauto…..ok my problems is that weather I have my running lights on or off my driver side brake light wont brighten or turn on when I brake but all other lights work….. when you press on the cruise control switch they seem to work…. but its only the driver side brake light I have already checked my bulbs too

1aauto says:

That truck requires a different part than the one shown. If you visit us online we may have a new one for you. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

chad bird says:

Is this the same for a 97 chevy blazer but the shifter is on the floor?

AustenLynnes says:

I replaced the turn signal in my chevy blazer and my turn signals won’t work and I found a connector unplugged behind the junction box. Would that be the problem because I don’t know where it connects to

BRASSMONKEY GAMING says:

Its coming from the signal relay clicking sound pass. Side and i hope this is my last resort to fix it maybe this weekend or somthing its not causing any prob. Its just annoying. My radio over powers it but wen i have some1 in the car we cant talk b/c dont want to listen to click so the radio is up kinda high but i will let u no how it goes

1aauto says:

You would need to try to pinpoint where the sound is coming from.

BRASSMONKEY GAMING says:

Donni canasta my 99′ blazer has the same thing happening did the cling sound stop when u replaced the turn signal switch? I tryed every thing i replaced bulbs got new relay switch or what ever the ticking thing is this is the only thing i havent done will it fix it?

1aauto says:

It should be the same if not the same procedure as the one shown in the video. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Donni Canasta says:

Just to be clear please, this is the same procedure on my 99 Jimmy with shifter on the floor? Have had a signal relay clicking sound forever on passenger side causing no ill effects besides my sanity, but now my signals and hazards are flashing erratically too when I do use them.

Troy Collins says:

It was the Brake Light Switch. Thank you for your input and your videos, they’re a lot of help to guys & gals like me that can’t afford to take their vehicles to a shop. Thank you.

1aauto says:

It could happen, you may want to check the brake light switch schematic to see if it’s part of the circuit. You may also want to check the brake light switch if you haven’t already. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Troy Collins says:

Hi There. I have a question for you. I have a 1999 S10 and the rear brake lights quit working, I have replaced the bulbs, re-done the ground wires, the sockets are fine. I have read that the Multifunction switch can cause the brake lights to stop working. Is this true?

1aauto says:

Hi John, If it uses this style turn signal, than it may be the same or a similar process. We carry new turn signals for many different types of vehicles on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

John Towery says:

I have a 92 Chevy truck… the turn signal is now lose. It wont stay in position. As if the spring or something that is holding the stick in left/neutral/right position in place broke. SO when i move it to right, it wont click into place. It just hang down where the gravity is going. But the wiper control and cruise control on it is working fine. Is this video cover that problem?

1aauto says:

It could be the flasher acting up. It should be located on the fuse panel.

FrostMetalFilms says:

would this be a problem that causes my turning lights to make the ticking noise after i turn them off, then when i put my brakes on the sound goes away? or is there anything else that would cause that?

1aauto says:

Unfortunately the wiring is built into the steering wheel so you have to get the exact same steering wheel as the one you have.

idontlike101 says:

I have a 99 Blazer with airbaf and steering wheel controls, could i swap the steering wheel from a none steering wheel control to mine? (and keep my steering wheel controls)

John Dunkerley says:

I have a 93 Bonneville SSE and parts match up with Sonoma, same year. Is it basically the same?

dmcfarland80 says:

You’re my hero – thank you

1aauto says:

It may be similar repair process, the actual part is different though. We carry replacement turn signal switches for your 95 Chevy Blazer on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Jerry Ferris says:

Does the 1995 Blazer differ much form these? All I have seen as examples are 2000++ models and they did change a bit once they hit 2000 – thanks!

1aauto says:

You might be able to.

Christian Ascenzo says:

Can’t you just unplug the wires from the switch its self instead of having to unplug all those wires?

1aauto says:

HI Christopher, You may want to check the bulbs to see if any of them are burnt out. If they are okay, you may want to check the flasher fuse (which is usually in the fuse box) to see if it has gone bad. Hope this helps you out 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Christopher Keiper says:

You guy at 1aauto….awesome. Both of my vehicles you guys have a ton of videos on.
I was wondering if you knew, but my left blinker blinks fast when the lights are on, but only when the lights are on….so would that be a problem with the light turn switch?

1aauto says:

If it’s a factory installed alarm, it may be difficult to since many of them are integrated into the electrical system.

Crystal O'brian says:

I was wondering how to turn the car alarm off on my blazer since it tripped the security system.

1aauto says:

If you watch 5:24 we describe where it’s hidden. It’s on the right of the column up and under the dash. Hope this helps you out.

Daniel Muniz says:

please help! my dad watched this video to try and replace the stock in my Jimmy. he did almost everything right but he doesnt know where the chord in the video @ about 5:03- 5:20 he cant find the plug where he pulled out the small green plug. my car is a 2000 gmc jimm. idk if that matters, can u help us out and tell us where we might find the plug?

1aauto says:

You’re welcome. Thanks for watching. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

ccapdepon says:

Thanks Mike – Directions were right on target – also thanks for including the socket size needed in each step. Mine was a 1999 Blazer Standard w/o cruise – 307k mi. – signals worked fine but flasher continued clicking when switch was off – only stopped when brake was applied – new switch fixed this problem. Thanks again

1aauto says:

You would need to turn the car alarm off in order to start the car.

johnnieb15 says:

i replace mine and trip the security light now it only turns over but wont start is there anyway i can fix this or bypass it….Please Help

Bonnie Hoenow says:

Perfect video! I didn’t have the E5 star bolt socket…4 mm socket worked. The steering tilt lever thingy slowed me up a couple of minutes just because I thought I’d end up snapping it but it was tougher than I thought…a wider flat head screwdriver would probably have been easier.
You nailed the video.
By the way, when I was done, I threw in an oil change and didn’t I spot the rad leaking??? Couldn’t even celebrate my success.

Off to the next !AAuto.com video.

Seriously

1aauto says:

With the newer vehicles, the flasher is built into the turn signal switch itself.

jack spade says:

my hazards work but turn signals dont and my fuse is good is there seperate flashers for a 97 blazer or is it the lever???

1aauto says:

The concept for this will be the same where you will have to remove the steering column cover but you will have less to tackle with the lever not being there.

crankbait2009 says:

Does this process differ greatly if you have a manual transmission? I don;t have the shifter on the steering column.
