If you have a repair manual for the vehicle it should show you. We carry the Haynes manuals on our website for all kinds of vehicles. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I dont know weres the relay from my astro 95 its not close to my fuses box
There could be a short in the wiring that might be blowing the fuse. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
You may want to check the turn signal switch to see if it’s okay or if it needs to be replaced. You may also want to check the turn signal relay and also the fuse. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I have a chevy astro 95 and the turning lights dont work and the light bulbs are new lights works for emergency lights but to turn dosent can yuh help me
If the brake light wiring happens to run through that switch and it is bad, replacing it might solve the problem. I’ve seen this happen before on different vehicles. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
very nice video, i have a 95 tahoe with no brake lights , no power for brake lights , checked fuses and replaced brake light switch. third brake light works , turns and running lights work, a friend thought it might be in the turn switch, any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated, Terry Parker 95 tahoe 4×4 tilt wheel with cruise
i keep blowing wiper fuses when i just turn the key could it be my switch or motor with a short?
nice this helped me a lot altho getting the cruise control wire out was a PAIN lol
It might be a similar process.
I’m sure this would be the same removal procedure as a 1994 silverado except for the airbag set up?
Awesome guide! So glad I didn’t waste my money paying someone else to do this… could not be more stoked ot have accomplished this myself 🙂 thanks again!
2000 gmc c3500 NO! just did mine – the only reason to remove wheel is to make access EASIER for the forward facing bolt that secures switch. you dont need to remove wheel you can remove the bolt by feel – using the method shown in vid, the wrench /bit setup. THANKS 1A FOR A GREAT VID AND EVEN BETTER PART!
The issue could be with the switch itself or it might be with the installation.
I replaced the turn signal switch and now the horn honks whenever you turn the steering wheel. Help!
Great videos… Very helpful 🙂 And I guess the two dislikes are from Chrysler.
You may want to look for a crossed or pinched wire.
I repace the turn signal switch now security light stays on and truck will only turn over not start
PLEASE HELP ME ON POST BELOW!!!!
Yes you would need to remove it in order to be able to get at everyting.
Is it absolutely necessary to remove the steering wheel to do this repair? I know on a Ranger I’ve done it without removing the wheel. Looks like it’s more of a removing it to have more room deal.
It may be on the bottom of the steering column. You may want try looking there. Not sure where it is located, but on some vehicles that’s where they are.
i cannot find my flasher on 2000 poniac montana i need a video of it hard too find the dam thing only hazards come on when i push up or down on signals sometimes nothing on the outside
You may want to check the owners manual or a Chiltons or Haynes manual to see if there’s a relay somw where that could be burnt out.
hello was wandering if you can help me my hazard flashers on my 1999 ford explorer stopped working and my fuse looks 2 b good is there a relay somewhere?
It may be a bad turn signal switch.
I’m having problems with my 98 chevy tahoe. When using blinkers, they decide when they want to work. Blinking regular then slower or wont blink, then starts blinking out of no where. Same thing happends to my wipers when using them. Brake lights or regular lights/brights are not infected by this. I’m guessing turn signal wiper switch. Need second opinion????
Hello i had problems with my blinkers and break lights that eventually lead to me having to replace the multifunction switch, my blinkers completely went out, and then my hazards would come on every time i pressed the brake (hazard switch was broken). i replaced the multi switch and it fixed all the odd problems like hazards comeing on when brake is pressed but blinkers still do not work at all, but the hazards work perfect, fuses are all good too. Thanks
Did you know that if you forget to replace the fuse for the air bag it will cause the alternator charging guage to not function on my 97 Tahoe.
Other than that, thanks for the pointers. You saved me $300.

On some vehicles they do run through this switch. It might fix the issue for you.
My 1999 blazer has no brakes lights, but flashers & turn signals work fine & so does my hi & lo beams as well as my cruse control./ my mechanic replace the brake switch & still no brake lights.? so he said to get a new Multi function switch & he will replace that because it is connected to the brake switch etc & this should fix the no brake lights problem.? what do you think is he correct.?
You may want to take a look at the shift lever, and also the ignition switch to see if it’s hanging up the lever (if the shifter is on the column).
I have a 1995 chevy truck 2wd extended cab and the shifting lever will not shift. So I have to turn the kea to where the dash lights glow and then shift it in to netural, start it and then put it in to drive. But if you put it in to park you have to turn it off and start the process all over again.
i allready replaced the neutral safty swich. what should i do?
HI, you may want to double check your connections. I’m not sure if you are getting an air bag light on on the dash, if you are and the cruise has stopped working, many times a bad clock spring will trigger that. I would also check all of the fuses to make sure that they all fine and none of them are blown. Hope this helps.
Mike HELP I changed the turn signal switch it did not work. I replaced the old switch and now I have a clicking sound and The headlights won’t work also the cruse will not work the original reason I was changing the switch. Any help would be GREATLEY Appreciated.
does anyone know if the signal switch has anything whatsoever to do with spark to the coil.plugs dist etc.??
oh i miss my suburban, but i don’t miss the 14 mpg
You guys Rock! The part came in3 days. And it took me about an hour to replace it. Thanks so much! You just saved me over $300.
One hint I would give to others. The airbag doesn’t just pry off. Stick the flat blade screwdriver in the slot and twist. This moves a spring and releases it.
THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDEOS! YOU JUST SAVED ME AN ASS LOAD OF MONEY! NEXT TIME I NEED A PART YOU GUYS WILL BE BOUGHT FROM. THAT’S THE LEAST I COULD DO! THANKS AGAIN!
I did this replacement on a 2000 Suburban. I am NOT handy; but I did my internet research and I was successful! I am sure I saved hundreds of dollars. I did NOT have to pull the steering wheel nor the air bag. I was able to work around them. I was advised to wait 11 minutes after I pulled the fuse on the air bag due to there being a capacitor that holds a charge for 10 minutes that would give power to the air bag.
can’t say for sure but the idea and basic procedure is probably the same.
Would this video be revelant to a 1995 Chevy Astro AWD? I am in the process of changing the Multifunctional Lever on the 95 Chevy Astro AWD and I am looking for the right video(s). Any tips and ideas would definitely help. Thanks in advance.
