Emma Maier says:

Is the ABS sensor the same as the traction control sensor?

Zetos Lapier says:

So wait for a 1999 chevrolet silverado 1500 which part is this? I click
your link but it brings me to the parts page of your site.

Jason Fields says:

I have a 2005 2WD 1500. My wife drove the front pads literally off this
truck a few years ago. Since then, the ABS and Brake lights have been on
and when applying the brakes the ABS kicks on around 10-7MPH. It doesn’t
matter if I’m braking hard or slow, or what the road surface is like. I’m
torn between wondering if I have a sensor issue, caliper issue, or if I
need to replace my hub assembly altogether. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Anthony Jones says:

my ABS light was on and now I have to push my brakes all to the floor and
it wont stop. im thinking its the sensor but I don’t know any suggestions?

1A Auto Parts says:

You should repair the vehicle as soon as you’re able to.

1A Auto Parts says:

@doyouliketowatch If you have any warning lights on in the dash, I would
pull the code and see what they are pointing too. If you have a bad hub I
would replace it first to see if it also resolves the ABS issue. Hope this
helps out you out.

Travis Mackenzie says:

I just replaced the same front sensors on my 2002 chevrolet silverado
2500hd. My abs light is still on. just one question, on one sensor i found
a thin tin washer that fits on the sensor probe itself and also a hole for
the screw, on the other i found nothing, I am wondering now do you need
them as your video didnt mention them?

1A Auto Parts says:

HI Jason, If there is a light on see if you can pull a code from the
computer as this will more than likely point you in a direction as to what
the issue is. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

my truck, 2002 chevy silverado 2500hd, has a vibration in the brake pedal
when stopping from 5-0 mph. it sounds like there is a noise coming from the
drivers side front wheel the same time there is this vibration. what could
this be? thanks

light is on in dashboard, don’t know its left side or right side to fix,

Rolland Ford says:

Thanks for the help

1A Auto Parts says:

It may be similar. One end should plug into the back of the hub and the
other end should plug into the harness on the vehicle.

Russ Church says:

I am getting the anti-lock light on and off. Sometimes the anti-lock brakes
engage and vibrate on a hard dry surface when stopping and no light comes
on. Sometimes they work just fine. It’s a 2004 Chevy Venture Van….Thanks
so much for your videos. They help a lot and your new parts service is
great as well…..Thanks

1A Auto Parts says:

You could try to replace them to see if it helps.

shrok89 says:

My ABS and Break light sometimes comes on and sometime i get a vibration on
the brake pedal when i come to sudden stop could it be front or back AbS
sensor? thanks for reading

zsavage81 says:

I’m driving a 2003 Chevy 1500 suburban 4×4. When I hit bumps with my front
right tire the ABS light comes on and what sounds like the door dinger goes
off (“ding, ding, ding”). Code it’s throwing is CO223 which I’ve looked up
to be erratic front right wheel speed sensor, is this most likely the part
I need to change to fix the problem? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Tony Ballony says:

do you really need to take the rotor off to access the sensor. Also Are
there back wheel sensors or just front? I just got my two fronts in the
mail from you (Thanks) and hoping there are not sensors in the rear (2001
suburban)

Great video! I am going to dig into mine and change it this weekend. I have
a 2005 Silverado 2500HD and have been having the same problem with the
brakes letting go under 5mph when stopping. The truck pulls to the right
when stopping so I figure the left front sensor is bad. again thanks for
posting the video. Steve

1A Auto Parts says:

We carry a new economy hub for your Jimmy that’s not a whole lot of money.
Here’s the Part Number: 1ASHF00007 It’s a brand new hub with the sensor.
Now if the 4WD isn’t working, your 4WD runs on vacuum. Check all of the
vacuum lines under the hood to see if there’s a leak or a broken line that
could cause it not to engage. There’s also a 4WD vacuum actuator that tends
to go bad on these trucks Part Number: 1AFWA00002 on our website 1aauto.com
you may also want to take a look at it.

@RobKling19 Thank you for visiting our YouTube auto repair channel. Have a
great day.

RJ Leonard says:

I have heard with the problem with these years are the rest on the hub
builds up and slightly moves the sensor away from the gears making the
sensor read slightly different at low speeds. I was told I should try to
pull the senor and try to remove some of the rust underneath it so that it
will read correctly again and if it still doesnt work then replace the
sensor

doyouliketowatch says:

I have an 06 Sierra 2WD and my ABS would kick in while I was slowing down,
almost stopped. I was told to pull the ABS relay and see if it went away,
which it did, then I was told that it was a bearing hub going and that the
ABS sensor wasn’t reading the speed properly. My question is, is it just
the sensor, or is the hub?

Same on Blazer 98?

HackerBob says:

I think his videos are exactly what you need; enough detail to get the job
done + simple techniques to assist with the assembly and dis-assembly.
Also, what you do not see/hear, as you do in so many how to videos, is the
mindless chatter. There is so much to like about this video, the time
shifting, additional comments, part focus the short callouts with what he
is doing while he is doing it, the torque specs…. In short, after
watching this video, I am confident I could do this!

1A Auto Parts says:

If you have fixed what the code was pointing to, you might have to clear
the code to get it to turn off. You could try that and see what happens.

stewbaby54 says:

Thank you very much for your excellent demonstration on how to install ABS
sensor and harness. Your video is and will be very helpful on my
installation. I have never saw or seen one installed before. Sincerely, a
man in need of expetise in automotive work.

1A Auto Parts says:

If you have a check engine light on you may want to run the code to see if
it points you in a direction.

1A Auto Parts says:

If may resolve the issue if the harness is bad. You may want to inspect the
harness first to see if it’s damaged before ordering the part. We carry new
ABS harnesses for your 2003 Chevy Suburban on our website 1aauto.com

1A Auto Parts says:

@nomanali43 You may want to have the code scanned. This should tell you
which side may be bad. Hope this helps you out.

Gliss47 says:
