dmystifyworship says:

What is that plastic called?

Mike Brooka says:

I am a stone cold V8 GM guy and used to work in a municipal vehicle maintenance shop. We had to replace a lot of the door handles. I have not replaced one in 13 years. Thank you for reminding me 2 things that I have forgotten. Thank you so much!

1aauto says:

It should be the same procedure.

Zachary Keagle says:

I have a ’96 Sierra Pickup but my truck has manual hand cranked windows. Would you have to do the same process to take the panel off?

sleem kallss says:

Also 99

Matt Lee says:

Thank you!! Your video was most helpful i forgot how to get the cover around the door handle off you got me back on track.

1aauto says:

Normally the only way to unlock the door in that case would be going through the glass area with a slim jim and manipulating the latch rod itself.

frye2509 says:

any suggestions on how to start the removal on a rear passenger door panel of the 98 suburban with a door that will not open. I need to get in there to unlatch the door

1aauto says:

Yes this is the same for the 1998 1500 series as listed in the video title.

DAVE BRANDT says:

that same for 98 chevy 1500 to?

1aauto says:

I’m not sure. If you take the bulb out there should be a number on it. You can match that number to the bulb at your local auto parts store. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

BuckslayerBob says:

Do you happen to know off hand what kind of bulb is used for the door courtesy lights? I have three bulbs out. I also have to either replace or fix the rear passenger door locks. Thanks for the informative and helpful video!

HalFonts says:

Thanks much, been having to reach outside to open my door, because I couldn’t get panel off to futz with the busted inside door-handle linkage (now both front doors). I knew it would be simple; but just couldn’t find the clip-technique. Your Video is invaluable.

dumbshit9000 says:

Does anyone know what the stock speaker size is of a 1999 GMC suburban 1500?

Rollin Nahulu says:

You should do a video on replacing the whole passenger side window because the bottom of the window where the rail is, to make the window go and down is all rusted up and I need to replace the whole window. Help? Thank you. @1aauto

1aauto says:

Thanks for watching.

IDIUTPRODUCTIONS says:

me and my buddy took apart 1 door panel to replace the speaker out in the freezing cold. got another one to do, this will definately make it less complicated thank you!

1aauto says:

Unfortunately you have to remove the panel to access the hole that the speaker is mounted into.

cnnrrlltt says:

Is it possible to replace one of the front door speakers in a 2005 suburban without removing the entire door panel?

rociolyles6 says:

video. My 7 year old watched this video with me and assisted me in removing the doors to replace the interior handles.

ab4op says:

This helped, I couldn’t figure out how to get the plastic ring off the door handle without breaking it till I saw your video.

1aauto says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular repair.

oscarabney says:

We currently do not have to many of the small plastic interior pieces for this truck.

jose hernandez says:

hi, awesome videos you have here helps alot, but i was wondering if yall didnt sell all the other plastic interior parts cause im restoring my gmc but dont know where to find this kind of parts

SnoopyDoofy says:

Thanks man, my student card fell down there. Now I got it back.

How it happened: I though it was a good idea to squeeze my card between the window and the rubber to have it perfectly visible for the concierge ( a lot of people who aren’t affiliated with the school park there as well so they check regularly). Unfortunately it slipped through when I shut the door. I realize now it was a pretty stupid idea

1aauto says:

You may want to take the door panel off and check to see if any of the rods have become disconnected from the inner door handle. Hope this helps you out.

BamaBoy25I says:

HELP!!! My door won’t open from the inside but opens from the outside. How do I get it to open from the inside?

1aauto says:

At least it was an easy fix for you. Thank you for watching our auto repair channel on YouTube. Have a great day.

gunnerduke61 says:

way easier than that. I was trying to use the truck without putting the door panel back on because I had the handle ordered and it was to come in the mail in 48hrs. SO…. I was unaware of the button coming out of the dash that got pressed by the door panel when the door shut. It is guys like me that keep you mechanics employed!! LOL! Thanks for the video tho!! It was key to my being able to do the work myself. I went to your other vid to replace the door handle!!!!

1aauto says:

You may want to see if there’s a pinched wire or a connector that’s connected wrong in the are that you were working in.

1aauto says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to do this in the rear door of this truck. However some of the basics should be the same. You would need to remove any trim holding the panel to the door and then remove the door panel from the door, using a putty knife or a door panel removal tool.

jounier1 says:

How To Remove Rear Door Panels????

gunnerduke61 says:

nevermind!!!! I was trying to keep the panel off until my handle came in. I did not know about the button coming off the side of the dash!

gunnerduke61 says:

HELP!! I did this and now my indicator alarm/annoying noise that tells me my key is in the ignition will not shut off!!!!!! Stays on while driving and all, but shuts up when I pull my key out.

neohart69 says:

Thanks ALOT. VIDEO WAS GREAT. 5STAR VIDEO

krybolt says:

I did this today, I bought all new clips and they kept breaking from the back where it holds onto the door panel. Heck, a lot of them broke when I was clipping them into the door panel.

1aauto says:

You may want to check to see if a fuse blew somehow, or even the connection to the battery on the terminals. If the battery terminals are corroded you may want to clean them. Hope this helps.

mikesmith0305 says:

Video was great for how to remove the door panel. When I finished, none of my electric works (truck won’t start, interior lights won’t come on & etc. Any input appreciated.
