Thanks for your help…I will order parts from your company for your Quick
help….J.R.
You might be able to get them out with a bolt or screw extraction tool. You
can usually find them at the parts store on in the Craftsman section at
Sears. Hope this helps out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I need Help…My Rotor cap screws i guess were installed years ago too
Tight…I used 3 diffrent 15 star heads But the screws were stripped…Any
idea how i can get these screws Out?
If the cap is broke you can just replace the cap and rotor. If the plastic
base is broke, you may have to check to see if it can be removed. It might
be bolted into place. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
hey I was just going to change my distributor cap and rotor today, because
at 70 roughly 1800 rpms its got sort of a stutter, well I go to change them
and where the front bolt(t20) goes into the plastic under the cap to close
it off is busted, must’ve been my issue?? now how do I go about fixing that
I don’t really feel like taking the shaft out. please help!!
If the engine is the same as the one shown in the video, it should be the
same procedure. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
so every chevy like a 1998 tahoe is some what the same to change the

You may want to check the spark plug wires and coils. 1aauto.com

at1aauto I have this code on my 99 Tahoe P0303 cylinder 3 misfire detected
is it that I need the video tune up or something else?
My truck seems to run out of power, it will run fine sometimes. But others
it will act like it’s not getting fuel or spark. You can put your foot to
the floor and it will rev but almost bounce and cut out. Sometimes it gets
so bad it will not have enough power to move. I replaced the plugs with AC
delco’s and gapped them correctly and no change. I also have new plug wires
on there too. Any ideas??
There is really no way for me to tell you if this is your problem but if
you went to a mechanic they would be able to at least diagnose the issue
and give you an idea of what you need to do.
Once the rotor is screwed in, is there still expected to be a small amount
of play if you try to rotate it by hand? I replaced mine and put it back
the way the original was facing, but the rotor didn’t seem to lock or snap
into place. Once screwed in something still gave it a small bit of play.
After everything was put back together things seem to be ok. I want to say
it hesitates on a cold start a bit more than before (warm no problems) but
maybe that’s just in my head since I was unsure.
I have the same model truck and i need to replace the camshaft sensor is it
underneath the distributor I can’t seem to find it
I made a mistake, I meant the entire distributor.
I was referring to the rotor. It is screwed in securely but if I move it by
hand (well before I put the cap back on) there was a little bit of play.
The capr should fasten securly like the factory one did.
If it matches this description 1995 – 1996 Nissan Sentra 4 Door for L4 1.6L

It may. Detonation can also be cause by using the wrong octane gas, a spark
plug that’s not gaped right or timing that may be off on the vehicle. Hope
this helps you out.
That should be fine.
We currently do not have a video that shows it’s location. If you have a
Chiltons or a Haynes manual it should show you where it’s located.
Is this why i get no start i replaced the plugs and the dist cap but the

would a bad distributor cap cause a no start?
I have to do this now on my 97 tahoe because as I was replacing the plugs
and wires, when you were holding up the cap at 1:52 you can see all the
little plastic things sticking out that you push the wires onto, and while
attempting to pull off the coil wire at the top left it pulled off that
plastic thing sticking out with it along with the wire. Just my luck
Great video, Thank you.
If the cap is worn out, it would not allow voltage to go to the plug wires
and then fire the spark plugs.
It wouldn’t hurt to replace the cap and rotor with a new one as these can
wear out over time. They aren’t very expensive, and may solve the issue if
they are worn. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Can this repair my detonation problem?
I just received a phone call asking $600 dollars to replace the distributor
cap on a 1996 Nissan Sentra. This video makes it look simple enough to
purchase the part and do it myself; why so expensive?
