Darn, lol. Okay. So I am correct to believe that I would go from under the dash area where that casing is covering it. And any chance you could tell me if I need to unhook any electrical wires when replacing one? I have the part, but at this point I think I am going to attempt myself. Any chance you know how to remove that cover without breaking it off, lol. Anyways thanks for your replies and your assistance!

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows that particular repair. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Curious, have a 99 GMC Suburban. AC/Heat don’t work in front (rear works though), for a while I could hit the case on the passenger side. I bought a replacement motor, as it was told to me that was the problem. So would you be able to tell me best way to remove the plastic guard (inside) so I can best remove the motor. This video shows you going from under the hood. Any help asap. Id be grateful! Thanks in advance..

You may want to check the fuse to see if there’s power at the fuse and that it’s also not blown. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

When i plug it in it doesnt work

1aauto says:

We currently do not have a video that shows this. You may want to try an automotive forum for your vehicle. You may find some info there on the easiest way to remove the dash.

Do you have a vid that shows where all the bolts are for the entire heater box thing? I need to change the heater core on my 84 half ton with a.c. Nobody has a vid I searched everywhere and something this common cant be found? Please help me, its six degrees and this is my only car.

It sounds like the resistor is no longer working correctly causing the fan to burn up constantly.

Abdullah Alghamdi says:

Two wires controllig the fan speed had touched each other causing the blower motor resistor damage … And now the 25A HTR “fan” keeps melting… is this scenario possible? 🙂

1aauto says:

I would check all of the venting first to see if anything may have become disconnected, or even take the blower motor out to see if something decided to make a home in there which could be restricting air flow.

1aauto says:

You may want to check the blower motor resistor and see if all of the speed settings work, or check the blower motor to see if it’s getting worn or for any possible debris inside of the cage that may be slowing it down.

I have an 85′ Chevy El Camino that does not blow out enough air out of the air vents. What could be the problem?

rcfreak35 says:

Hi, the air flow on my 96 Chevy suburban is terrible even when set on high, is there anyway to fix this problem? would I need to remove the dash or something? please help! Thanks.

1aauto says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video on that paticular repair. if it’s not working you may want to check your fuses, and also for a possible loose or broken wire that could be the cause.

1aauto says:

It should just pull out of the way. If you look closely on the right side, you can see the rubber hose in the video.

Amelia2325 says:

I looked under the hood of my blazer and it is slightly different. I can see the screws to remove the heater motor, and the ground wire, but there is a rubber hose going from the top part of the unit to the heater fan that you would remove. Any idea what this is? Does it pull out or would that break something or is it a vacuum hose? THere is no other connector on it except this short piece of hose.

1aauto says:

We carry the replacement blower motors if that turns out to be the issue. Here’s a link to them on our website. Hope this helps you out.

Amelia2325 says:

You make it look so easy. I think I can do this myself because the engine on my 1991 S10 Chevy Blazer looks the same. Thank you for taking the time to show me what to do and how to do it. My heater fan needs to be hit to make it work, and then it only works a few minutes. The weather is at 3 degrees F. so I need a working heater fan.

1aauto says:

you may want to check the wire going to the AC compresser to see if there’s power going to it.

True Paki says:
