** if you cant reach your hand in there just pull the lower half of the air box out. just lift straight up on it and kinda wiggle it back and forth it comes right out**
Super helpful. Hardest part was getting the air cleaner out of the way
Best way to replace thanks
Fixing to go change it now – thanks for posting this video . You are right , the driver side bulb is alot harder to change
Thanks very much for your video. I had a shop quote $100 and a dealer quote the same. It wasn’t very hard at all. Thanks again
worked great for me. thanks
God bless people like him to show things a better way.
I keep watching this video for great reference.
I will be getting an ’09 model, so this will be a handy guide.
For the turn signals, your method will be the way to go, in case I need to change a bulb.
That’s the problem with some vehicles now. Things are crammed in there so tight, you have to get this off and this off and it can be a real pain (just ask a mechanic).
Having small hands has an advantage.
Yes, thanks for the upload. Beats searching google w/ all those fixya BS results!
exactly.
Thanks! Saved me time and money $ 🙂 God Bless.
I just replaced both low beam headlight bulbs on my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 after watching your video. Very helpful. On the driver side I was able to reach in and disconnect the plug before removing the bulb without any dis-assembly. On the passenger side I not only removed the top of the air box but also the bottom half of the air box as well. There are 3 pegs on the bottom and it just pulls strait up and pops off. Made plenty of room to reach in and remove the bulb. Thanks for the video.
I tried to do the driver side like this but it doesn’t work… My hands do not fit in this tiny hole. Thanks for the video anyway.
ACCOUNTINFO2008..Thank you for the help!!
great video ….saved me lots of time and aggrevation….worked out great and exactly like you described in the video ….
That’s actually how GM intends for the user to change the headlamps.
Thank you for this video. It worked just like you showed. the air filter would not come out of my 2008 Sierra, otherwise it saved me hours.
thanks for the vid
Thanks, very helpful!
