Where did u find the ignition source? That’s the only thing I don’t
understand great video helps a lot.
What is the benefit of doing this exactly? Don’t the vehicle run just fine
with just one battery?
Nope, my truck has I believe a 160 amp alternator. The 4.8 and 5.3 V-8’s
come with less powerful alternators though.
I was able to find one under the “under hood” fuse box. Test them first
with a MULTIMETER, NOT A TEST LIGHT!!!!! If you have trouble locating it
there, the alternative is to run a wire thru the firewall and to the
ignition harness under the column

@IndiMusicman It comes in handy especially in the winter, and if you have
tv’s and would like to run your accessories without the engine running. By
using a battery isolator, the accessories are running off one battery so
that your starting battery is never affected.
