i just had my fuel pressure regulator replaced on an ’04 tahoe LT with a
5.3 ffe because of the gas smell. now that it has been replaced i am still
getting the same smell when i start it, it then goes away after driving.
shop has checked tank, fuel lines, codes etc with no luck. any thoughts?

dude my truck (2003 1500 hd) burned to the ground! could this be what
caused it? i smelled gas really bad on the way home with rough idle and
engine light flashing…got home shut it off found a bad wire and replaced,
went to start it and it burst into flames. could this have been the
culprit…?

wow! I never seen a leak that bad… great video, especially the tips about
Halon… that stuff is definately no joke.

cavaliers with 2.2l engines. great tip about the halon.

Zmart032 says:

What engine is that 5.3?

briansmobile1 says:

Most likely. Yes.

I once had two bad FP Regulators on a Pontiac I repaired. The third one was
good.
