Thanks Drew very helpful!
go on amazon to order dash kits :)
Great explanation. Made it real easy. Harness would be easy to install
without cutting factory wires if budget isn’t an issue.
Honestly, I found that beginning helpful, in case I need to replace
something in that area.
Don’t cut get a harness man!
Go to crutchfield (.com or .ca if you’re Canadian like me), and they’ll
sell you the stereo and include instructions and any additional
wiring/adapters/dash kit for free. They’ll tell you everything you need,
and narrow the product list down for your specific vehicle. Such a great
website. Bought a stereo and it took 2 days to get to me. Unfortunately
though the Canadian website doesn’t have as big of a selection.
Not hating on your video but i don’t see why you would take the panels off
in the beginning of the video. The rest was very informative though. Thanks
129 bucks for the adapter for on-star equipped vehicles
Thanks Orlando!
Hi Luis, look for double din stereo installs for your new stereo. I had a
audio tech install a touchscreen stereo with the dub- din kit and it looks
perfect. If you are talking about having room for speakers try the shallow
Rockford Fosgates and box that will fit perfect under the back seat.
Thanks Samuel. They told me the same thing at the dealership and it was
going to expensive to do. I’m glad my video helped you out buddy!
anyone no how to remove back door panels on a 09 chevy traverse???
Hi Mejia, I will be doing a video on how to replace the regulator for your
door windows and will show you how to to remove the door speaker soon.
Thanks again,. Drew
do you still have the factory stereo? if so would you be looking to get rid
of it?

You didn’t need to remove the bottom part of the dash under the steering
wheel. NEVER cut the factory harness, always get an adapter.
Thanks Dees, Sorry, I had someone install my DVD/CD player for me.
How do u get rca plugs when leave factory stereo in the 2013 silverado?
Try ebay
Good video thanks drew and camera person
I kow how to get to the door speakers and tweeter. The door speaker are
pretty simple to replace. I installed in all my doors 6.5″ Rockford
Fosgates speakers and they sound 10 times better than the factory ones.
Hi Devon, you can try to to pull the stereo trim out with the steering
wheel panel still attached but they both over lap and makes it really
difficult to maneuver causing the bezel clamps to snap off or even worse,
brezel trim to crack.
Hi Derrick, I have not had this issue with my truck but if there’s no sound
from the front or rear then check to see if there is any loose wire
connections at the stereo unit and the wiring harness wrapped set of cables
between chassis and doors. Its sounds like it might have a pinch or a break
in it somewhere. Not surprising, probably the driver door gets opened
several times more often than the passengers. This wire is moved and flexed
every day. No surprise if it eventually breaks.
