great video. just repaired my dash from a 77 el camino using spray expanding foam and rubberized spray like on the infomercials, so far so good.
Bro take the mic out of your mouth.
EASY! DIY — ONLY TAKES SUPER SKILL AND HOIRS OF TIME
Looks bloody sexy. I've got a isuzu c190 pup, this will be the next thong I'm going to do!
Just curious, have you tried the polyvance dash pad filler?
is bondo – builders bog ??
if just cracks can the vinyle stay on
Came out great. Next time go out and buy krylon matte finish. It'll give you a flat finish.
You ARE the man! Helluva job.
dude great job!
at what point did you heat up the filler?
great finish / thank you for sharing!
Awesome job, and what machine can I use to write text on my dashboard
My dog chewed up a part of my dash board. Thank you!
heres a hint to get a factory matte finish lay down a coat of glossy paint them follow up with a flat paint… voila a factory matte finish
This was an AMAZING intro to bondo work with interior paneling.
Also I like that you play with your dog. Dog seems happy. I'm happy.
Looks good! Keep ‘em coming!
Bad ass job !!! Looks great u motivated me to do this to my el camino
Looks nice but I think personally my self I think I would just order a new dash from a good after market source I'm not saying don't try this go for it if you want to give it a try I just don't think it's going to hold up long term and that would be a lot of time and effort into something your more than likely going to be ripping out again to replace.
That was fantastic! And Thankyou for the plastic repair instruction too in another video
Very easy, I'll lay out the steps
1) disassemble whole car
2) bondo everything
3) sand
4) spray paint
5) reassemble entire car
That's about a cheesy ass way to fix a dash
As a retired professional educator, I was humbled by a lesson shown here done so well. I followed every procedure. Every question I had was answered within seconds by your structured, systematic, methodical explanation. What is so laudatory here is teaching this way, I know, is a splendid labor of love shown in caring enough for your audience to anticipate their questions. I know too that you are teaching as all of us learned mechanix the art, science, tech, logistics, chemistry, economics, . . . it takes to do stuff like this routinely, within budget, all the time, no matter whut. This is tuf thing to do at all and you make it a walk in the park, so to speak – mission accomplished. Bravo maestro!
Great job think I will try that on my square body pickup it heck of lot cheaper than buy new one thanks a lot
You did a great job .you used what you had .which would only go bad setting around.
Nice job
