maintenance as a kid-many of the youth growing up today cant do anything
that aint on Xbox or Playstation. They just pay somebody else. Much respect
for have your lil helper there watching.

Probably some lube tech did the work getting paid minimum wage. We had a
few new hires in our shop that did poor work, they did not last too long.

SCOTMIN says:

Thanks for sharring this.

Great video. Yep only person I trust to work on my stuff is me or my dad
since he taught me everything.

I must admit that I don’t have alot of respect for my ex gm dealer, when I
still had my Cavalier it went in for a recall where the taillights fail, it
went in with working taillights and came out not working with a broken
lense, they wouldn’t own up to it so I never went back

There is a mark on the underside of the hood.

It’s our car… Thanks for stopping by Doug!

I have to say, my GM dealer has been pretty good so far. I think you have
the right idea though; start looking for a new dealer. It sounds like their
standards are slipping!!

I felt ashamed the other day, I had to take my little Mazda in for a oil
change. Only because the oil filter was up behind the engine, and without a
pit or hoist there was no way of getting to it….(Hope the wife gets me a
hoist for Christmas)

RobsPackanShine says:

ya, i’d be upset too

Broncocarl92 says:

The best 🙂

Broncocarl92 says:

Oh yeah, those are just a small sample. I have a fridge full of them too,
the kids love it when daddy gets parts in the mail.

Cheator40 says:

Nice fix sir. They should use this as a training video for all the GM
Goodwrench mechanics that work at dealerships. And that is why I never take
my car to a dealer.

JUDGERAMBO says:

The dent on the hood may have been caused by closing the hood to
forcefully. yours might have the shock insted of springs. Flat rate tech in
and out, stressin techs out.

scottsinfl says:

I just had a 99 crown vic that got a tune up at the local ford dealer at
the sum of $435 and she brought it to me for a cat code. I told her she
needed a tune up. She showed me the receipt with plug # on it for 400 miles
ago. Then i showed her 1/2 inch of sand and dirt around the plug boot’s(4.6
8 coil) where her plug’s are but they also wanted $2200 for cat.
replacement CROOKS my tune up solved all problem’s. They saw an 83 year old
woman and stuck it to her SAD.

Broncocarl92 says:

Wait till you see what I am putting up today.. CROOKS are everywhere!

When it comes to cars the old addage of “if you want it done right then you
have to do it yourself” is extremely true. Every vehicle problem I have had
has resulted form trusting the dealer or repair shop to do the job that was
needed to be done. Seems as though you take a vehicle in for maintainence
work and then have worse problems afterwards than would have happened if
you had ignored the situation. Usually my problems accure shortly after
having the vehicle serviced. Cheers OLDDUDE
