do we get that new part? Thank you so much.

raysaw says:

tileman17 says:

can you tell me what the fuse name would be? its a 06 GMC durmax and if it
inside or under hood. the manual shift button still works and its on the
same lever witch makes me think its not the wire

1A Auto Parts says:

The new part will have more wire with it, so that there’s little more slack
in the wire. That way it will not keep breaking on you.

1A Auto Parts says:

Thanks for watching. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

@kbrewha40 Thank you for stopping by and checking us out. We currently do
not carry that particular part.

Kyle B says:

Is this part (gear shift lever) available on your site? I can’t find it…

1A Auto Parts says:

The cover of the fuse box and also the owners manual should tell you what
fuse belongs on that circuit. The owners manual should also show you where
the fuse panel(s) are located.

1A Auto Parts says:

@FromThe3PointLine You would need to tow, however the manufacturer
recommends.

Patrick Criswell says:

awsome video, i love seeing what im in for before diving in, specialy in a
dash! great to find out the common wire break thanks

tileman17 says:

ok got a new lever got the old one out and sure enough cut wire. couldn’t
see it till the old one was out but video was big help .keep up the work on
the truck one thing at a time your helping me fix stuff on my truck. only
thing I did different I took off the 4 bolt metal cover for easier access
to wires

Chris Cook says:

Man this makes it look easy. All i have to do is find the part now.

Brian Lloyd says:

I spliced the wires back together and rerouted in a better spot and works
perfectly saved myself $75 and i know for a fact that where i routed the
wire it will never happen again.

Robert Sigsworth says:

Hey Brian! I did the same thing. I put that $75 in my boat tank, but that
doesn’t buy much today!!

tyler sams says:

thanks man i have searched my truck for a relay or a fuse to find out why
mine stoped working and now i know why so now i just need to tear it down
and fix it thanks for fixing my stress towards this problem. DOES YOU
COMPANY CARRY AFTER MARKET PARTS OR JUST OEM

1A Auto Parts says:

1aauto.com/1A/Mirrors/Chevy/Silverado1500/-/-/2000?

micah griffith says:

mine just did this and I need that part. I assume anyway,,,,, i need to
destruct mine to find out.

tileman17 says:

I looked found the wire but it doesn’t look like it broke or cut. tried the
steering wheel in different place and noting is there a fuse that might be
blown any ideas

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check the fuses in the fuse panel to see if any of them are
blown. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Dennis Hudson says:

This is the second time your videos have helped me out. THANKS!!!

mrtruserv says:

Thanks for the help, I had a friend fix mine by just adding to the existing
wire. This problem is a engineering defect from GM and I think they should
have been a recall.

1A Auto Parts says:

Here’s a link the the side view mirrors that we carry on our website for
your Chevy Silverado 2000 1500.

FromThe3PointLine says:

Please help, so if I have a sierra like that one, and its a 4×4, and I want
to tow a trailer,i HAVE to put it in tow/haul mode? And in 2WD?

1A Auto Parts says:

We mainly carry aftermarket parts that are just like the original part.

mtray16 says:

Why not just splice the wire back together? Since it is routed in the same
place wont it just break again? Thanks for the video.
