Okay I just watched both the drifting and tug o war vids….. Still
chuckling. I just wanted to know, “Do you not like your neighbors? And do
you go through neighbors? ” Awesome vids and I will not be showing those
to hubby.

Doesn’t anyone realize that American made cars have a lot of the parts
imported, so they’re not strictly American made, and foreign cars are being
made in America with some American made parts? There is no such thing as a
fully American made car, or a fully foreign made car. Personally, my
American made, foreign Nissan, is the best car I’ve owned in over a
decade.

Best “solvent” for Loctite is heat, it’s designed to break down under a
torch or heat gun. But really what you gotta do is buy a Ford.

Dubya tee eff??? You’re stuck on the side of the road with a flat, and you
need your spare, and you suddenly find out you have to take it to a damn
shop and get some overpaid wrench jockey to get it down for you? How?
You’re stuck by the road. Dead. You have a frickin’ flat. You can’t get to
a #$@% shop!

Who the Hell invented this PoS? Google? It’s gotta be the dumbest damn
design I’ve ever seen. On something that you *need* to be as simple and
fast and reliable as possible.

If I had such a truck, my fix would be to cut the damn thing down and throw
it in the bed and forget it.

My old Caddy has the spare in the trunk, held down by one big ass wing nut.
My old Jimmy has it hanging on a swing out arm on the back, also held on
with a big ass wing nut. Both are accessible without having the car towed
to the nearest shop.

Our world has become infested with idiots. And they’re running it. Badly…

You can use a bicycle cable lock or some other cable lock to make it safe
off road and take the worry of the tire falling out after the modification.

MrKnap2755 says:

Got a ’98 GMC..love it 154,000 and still going strong. But last week
when I came outside to go to work, my right rear was flat. Spare would not
come down. Looked underneath, and the winch itself was a solid block of
ice! Then again it was only 5 degrees without the wind chill. A day
later, a free tow, and a 36.00 tire( replacement insurance) I was on my
way. Still cold, but on my way….lol
