do not trade Merill he gets to 86 overall
Here are my suggestions: Look to draft Nylander, Bennett, Virtanen, Vrana,
Pepin. I know that all of these players become good. Also in the 3rd Round,
there is a Finnish defenceman named Julius Honka who is 4 and a half red
stars, make sure you pick him up because he becomes very good, he goes in
the early 3rd round so make sure you have a 3rd round pick.
In the offseason, trade for guys that are 4 and a half red stars because
they have low trade values and some of them become very good. Evgeni
Kuznetsov on Washington, Kerby Rychel on Columbus, Cody Ceci on Ottawa, and
Adam Erne on Tampa Bay, you literally don’t have to give up much for these
players.
Trade Travis Zajac for a younger centre that has good potential. My
suggestions are: Jonathan Huberdeau on Florida, Mikael Granlund on
Minnesota, Ryan Johansen on Columbus.
Next, Patrik Elias for a younger 2nd line sniper or playmaker.
Trade Andy Greene for a younger defenceman like Victor Hedman, Oliver
Ekman-Larsson, or even Tyler Myers.
Also, make sure your good potential players are playing on your AHL team
because that is the only way they will get better. Like Johnson, Levi,
Wikstrand, etc.
Guys you should NOT trade away: Merrill, Gelinas, Boucher, Severson,
Tedenby, Josefson, Larsson, Henrique, and Schneider. These guys should all
stay on your team because they all become good, and they are young. Pretty
much anyone else you can trade though.
