Nice! Sounds like they did it right and didn’t chop it up like a lot do.

Calikid42O says:

Ok cool thanks Ya I got Everything installed today and ya It already has the aftermarket harness I just had to rewire up the new Stereo and it worked haha thanks Johnny Much appreciated

Johnnysshop says:

I would say it probably already has the harness or someone cut the harness and just hardwired it. Either way you don’t need it. If they hardwired it there would be nothing to plug the harness into.

Calikid42O says:

Damn you have vids on Everything sweet haha quick question I was giving a 1990 Cadillac Eldorado and I’m looking to replace the Stereo it already has a aftermarket stereo installed which is a Panasonic and I bough a JVC KD R330 and I was wondering if I need to buy that aftermarket harness or do you think that it already has on since it has a Panasonic Stereo already installed ???

Johnnysshop says:

I’d just replace the 4 speakers with some cheaper Kenwood units. You can find them on eBay pretty darn cheap.

dafiltafish says:

do you have any cheap recommendations for a saturn sc2? my 4 speakers are shot and i need to figure out what audio system i want, do i go with putting a single big woofer in the back and smaller speakers up front or replace the existing 4 speakers?

Johnnysshop says:

As long as the wires aren’t cut they make a harness for it. You wire it between the new radio harness and the car harness.

pinkfox253 says:

do you happen to know where the wiring is for a 92 Pontiac sunbird. i removed the old radio, but the mini harness does not fit that, or the old school cd player

Johnnysshop says:

You can just ground it to the chassis. There is usually a grinding point to the rear of the dash behind the radio

0jumanji0 says:

Hi, I couldn’t find the grounding for the black wire in the stereo harness. Any help?
Thanks!!

Johnnysshop says:

Dash pieces and whatnot will be different but the overall process is the same.

czechanski1234 says:

Would it be the same process for removing a 1991 oldsmobile 88 stock stereo?

Johnnysshop says:

I’d have to see it, have you tried running new wires straight from the deck?

Johnnysshop says:

Orange would be for dimmer, blue for remote, etc.. Not needed.

AlwaysReal4Life says:

What about those wires that you didn’t use?? What do you do with those?? Like the orange one and the others sitting there

Johnnysshop says:

Oh man that isn’t good! Best of luck.

Mooreman50J says:

@Johnnysshop The sad part is i just bought the car, a piston busted. The engine is ruined, so it has to be replaced.

Mooreman50J says:

I got mine at wal-mart same brand thanks so much

Johnnysshop says:

This kit was made by Scoshe and I believe I got it at Advance Auto. You can get them at Crutchfield, Best Buy, Walmart, etc..

Mooreman50J says:

I got a ? what was the kit you used? Plus where did you get it? Lol, and where did you get it?

Johnnysshop says:

You’ll need to buy another adapter and wire it to the back of the stereo for that car. I should have a few videos on here installing stereos. I know I show the wiring on one of them. Just search my vids “stereo”.

TH31UHAT3 says:

You should of showed how you put the stereo in because I can’t find any YouTube videos on it. So when you pulled out the old stereo you removed the antenna cable and the adapter. So I just bought a new stereo and the adapter that went into my old 03 suburban stereo is too big for the new stereo so I am completely lost on what to do and I was hoping you would show how you plugged In the new stereo but you skipped that part any advise? Do I need an adapter that converts the big power plug into a

Johnnysshop says:

You’ll have to wire the adapter to your deck wires. The adapter you wire in should be the same size dangling out of the car. It would just plug into that.

Mike Buff says:

Thats the part I bought. Im trying to re rewire my system since some foreigners did some hack job on it.

Mike Buff says:

I bought a wiring harness for my car, is it simple as plug and play? Theres a big plastic input slot that used to go to my original radio that is just dangling behind my aftermarket deck. My aftermarket deck uses a smaller slot. One I receive my wiring harness do i plug it into my original bigger sized harness? then proceed to connect the other smaller end to the aftermarket deck? dynamicsounds(dot)co(dot)uk/autoleads-pc2554-jaguar-sovereign-xjv8-xj12-wiring-harness-p-9196.html

Johnnysshop says:

You’ll only need that if you are running an aftermarket amp.

prasa162 says:

Hi Johnny,

Thanks for posting the vedios. I’m trying to install similar car stereo and i did not see , where to connect the remote wire that comes with the new car stereo to the car wiring.

Johnnysshop says:

TwiSteDxMeTaLx91 says:

Your a good dad

Johnnysshop says:

About 30 minutes normally but a bit longer with filming.

JerryTetris1 says:

how long did it take you to do all this?

prettiwiki says:

HI Johny, My factory wires don’t seem to be working to my speakers, Are they hard to replace? Thank you

Johnnysshop says:

There’s a few parts to the video. I show them in another one.

Dosalt says:
