I changed my starter and it still clicks
Thank you for the insight. I like your knowledge level and your explanation of the work,
but you should organize your workspace (clean up your garage) and refrain from using profanity when you present to the public. I am experiencing trouble with a 1999 Suburban
starter, and I am too the point where I must consider your grinding option. Thank you for sharing your mechanical experience, it has been very helpful to me.
man your advice helped alot but im still having issues been playing with this starter for months ..give me a shout if you can and ill send you my number its on a 6.5 diesel
Thanks man. I have a 91 305 Camaro. 3 out of 5 times it sounds like the started nose is hitting the fly wheel and not engaging. I don't even hear it spin. I've replaced the starter and same thing. I tried a high torque starts and it never does that but now I get that grinding noise every time I start the car that sounds like when you're starting a car that is already started. I've tried all kinds of shims but only now found your video on the 1/8th clearance test. I'll try that. Thanks again, cheers
