Nice and clean instructions. Thx

pussy taste good says:

Wat bout fuse? Do u install at last or before

tano brat says:

don’t forget to reinstall the neg ground cable to your battery!!

Henry Turner-Ward says:

Why do you need a ground connection? Is it essential?

Stefan ramnarine says:

I have a DB Drive (A5-125.4) amp powering four Faital Pro midrange speakers
with each rated at 130rms , they are 8 ohms. The specs of the amp are as
follows – • 4 x 125 Watts @ 4 Ohm
• 4 x 200 Watts @ 2 Ohm
• 2 x 300 Watts @ 4 Ohm Bridged

The amp is bridged bringing the resistance of each pair to 4 ohms because i
hooked them up parallel. I would like to hook up a pair of Power Acoustik
NB-1 tweeters rated at 100rms at 4 ohms. I would like to know if this can
be done ? If it could be done i would like some info as to how to wire them
please. Thanks.

william hamlin says:

Question? I have the Kicker 07DCVR122 ported enclosure with dual 2 12″
CompVR subwoofers 2 (ohms) I wanted to know if the Kicker IX1000.1 1000W
RMS Monoblock Class D IX Series Amplifier, would be a good match, or would
it be to much power for my subs?

Jose Andaverde says:

I have a kenwood kac -7285 how do I properly connect it.

marbleshark says:

DO NOT DEAL WITH SONIC-ELECTRONIX!! These guys routinely ship DAMAGED and
FAULTY products, are extremely SLOW to respond to communications, and when
they do they can’t care LESS. They ignore the needs of the customer and
their service is appalling. Avoid!!!!

Sushi Xiong says:

I just bought a 2 channel amp … sorry im a noob at this but do I need 2
rca or just 1 for the 2 channel amp?! I running 2 alpine type r …

Rafael Molina says:

How would you install two monobocks and a 4 channel to one deck?

Alfonso Dormu says:

i just got a 4 channel amp at 1640 watt and 2 10 dvc sub at 300watt each.
the sub impedance is 2 x 4 ohm (Stereo), 2 Ohm (Mono) and 8 Ohm (Mono). i
need help in connecting them for better sound. please tell which connection
should also be done on the sub series or parallel

liv liv says:

so how do you connect the speakers in this scenario?Isn’t the radio
outputing just into the subwoofer?

TheNodnarbmega says:

I believe you are describing the output section of the amp. Check the other
side, and i think there are left and right RCA inputs.

lama101 says:

I have the same amp, installed it today with jl 8wt , however when i turn
the ignition on the protection light doesnt turn on, it just sort of blinks
like twice and thats it. when i turn the ignition of it makes a little
noise like it switches of. HELP?!

benn hudson says:

thanks a million this helped a heap 😀

lama101 says:

@SonicElectronixTV I fixed it now it was actually a bad connection between
the remote turn on wire and amp, thanks for the help anyway tho, appreciate
it

Dawgkid133 says:

I blew out my 2010 Kicker Comp 12″ in my room, so I’m looking for a
replacement. I am thinking a single 2010 Kicker CompVR 12″ on 250 watts rms
500 watt peak in a 2.7 cu ft enclosure tuned to 37 hz. Or I’m thinking 2
12″ Polk Audio DB series subwoofers in a shared 3 cu ft enclosure tuned
to37 hz.

Sonic Electronix says:

If your car is not capable of feeding the amplifier, a capacitor will not
help. Your vehicle has a big alternator, so this amplifier should run just
fine on your stock electrical at normal listening levels. It is always best
to go with 4 Gauge OFC wire.

Sonic Electronix says:

Any time. 😀

Sonic Electronix says:

@mel23jordan Yes you can run two SD12’s on a 2-channel amp. You will have
to run them at the bridged impedance or at 2 ohms each. The Kicker DX300.2
will be the perfect amplifier to get. Its not too expensive and its a
really reliable amplifier. As long as you can either do 200 at 2 ohm x 2
channels or 350 at 4 ohms x 1 channel bridged you will have no problems.

boarderbro52 says:

If I get 2 Kenwood KFC-W12PS subs and a Kenwood KAC-9105D amp what wires do
I need?

xXBIGxBAREXx says:

Can I run 3 10″ RE SE 4 ohms on the RE XTX-3000.1 amp? How much power would
each sub be getting?

chris j says:

why do you connect it to the positive terminal? i am still not getting any
power to mine :/

Sonic Electronix says:

@ricoswell1 Yes, it is ussually better to go with a CEA compliant
amplifier. They have power ratings that are tested, accurate, and not
exaggerate. However, there are a select few brands that are not CEA
compliant and are still good quality such as Earthquake Sound.

Adolfo Acosta says:

I recently purchased some square hifonics zeus 12″ subwoofers and I am
wondering how I would connect these to a mono-block amplifier. All three
subs are 4ohm, would I connect all the positives together and negatives
together to get 1ohm out of all 3 of them?

mehmi121 says:

Does anyone know anything about sequoia jbl sound system? I’m trying to do
an install but I’m cofused

tony montana says:

hey brot nice video ,But i need your help ,i have the same Amp and i thing
the same Sub I i have everything hooked up Pos -Neg but i installed an RCA
converter on the rear speaker to get the Remote and Rca signal because i
dont have money to change my stock unit now, The problem that i have is
that the SUB makes a weird noise as soon as i turn on the car and wont stop
making noise until i disconnect the RCA wire,, so what should i do to fix
that pls help me

TheTruthQuest123 says:

IfI hook up the sub to the amp, but dont run the speaker wires to the amp
(talking bout front and rear speakers) will they still be amplified? Does
just running the RCA cable amplify ALL the speakers, OR do you actually
have to run wires from each speaker to the amp? if so arent you basically
Bypassing the original speaker wires going to the radio/cd player? most of
my friends who have an amp in their car, never run new wires from each
speaker BUT ALL of their speakers sound a lot better..

Sonic Electronix says:

@lama101 Hate to say it but you might have a defective amplifier. You can
take it to your longer installer to get it bench tested if you like. Well
you are under powering the sub but that doesn’t matter because JL subs work
fine when under powered. It really does sound like you have a bad amplifier.

MrSKSkill says:

Great vid Seth , Thanx for the Tips! ~MrSKSkill

Sonic Electronix says:

@jasienhoesein We would suggest using any high current 12V battery to power
up your amplifier. You could technically use a rechargeable battery the
current will more than likely not be enough to properly run the amplifier.

Sonic Electronix says:

@c2Lyfe Yes, it will be the same with the XAV-62BT.

MazdaBass971 says:

And also i forgot to say 4 channel amps will not put out the power to make
that sub get loud, get a mono class D amp, 4 channel amps are mainly for
door speakers not ment to power subwoofers.

Sonic Electronix says:

It depends on the amperage of your system, or if you don’t know that, your
wattage. As a rule of thumb, every 1000W is about 100A. Most of the
batteries on our site have a wattage ratting. If you have a 2000W system,
find which battery have near a 2000W rating.
