stereo out in order to put in an after market one?

anthony stenhouse says:

You helped out a lot of people, who gives a flying fuck what kind of shape
you’re in. Thanks man, this video was very helpful!!

John Smith says:

appreciate it man do i have to remove the old radio? like is there any
wires behind there i need? i dont have a tape deck or anything

Timmy D says:

do you still have the stock radio or an aftermarket ? if stock, there is a
video showing how to “install” a headphone auxiliary jack for that these
trucks specifically. and for the shit tunes, it could be messed up wires,
cut or chewed by a rodent of sorts, its pretty common with these trucks for
some sort of wiring to go bad..

NOLAbrookz says:

i came to this vid cause i want to put 6×9 ‘s in my 1993 GMC seirra but i
don’t know what to do cause theres no panel to remove , the factories are
behind the wall / panel & there are just slit like openings to let sound
out … am i gonna have to cut a hole to install speakers ?? you from
Louisiana ? im from New Orleans , livin in Shreveport .. sound like some LA
music

NOLAbrookz says:

extended cab .. i’m getting a some 4 x 6 infinity speakers for the dash (
those do fit right ? its a GMC 93 Seirra , same you have i think) but as
far as the rear speakers how could a put 6 x 9 ‘s in because there is no
panel to remove , theres just slit-like openings to let the sound out .. do
i have to get someone to cut out a 6 x 9 size holes ?? which would suck if
i end up sellin my truck and wanna keep my system

Dustin Coffey says:

i have a 94 sierra 1500 single cab 2WD and the something is up with my
radio, The reception is complete shit like all the time no matter what, is
that my attune, my actual radio or my interface in the dash, and Can you
give advice on how I should run my ipod into my stereo

Timmy D says:

And ? Your Point ? Dont Comment if there is no point…

Mark Little says:

Awesome video, it’s the only thing that kept me from using a stick of
dinomite to remove my old stereo. I had no idea that GM ever used a 3 part
stereo system.. crazy bastards! I still have to pull the vent tube in order
to set the stereo in, but great job.As for those two plug ends that just
keep hanging out, I just pulled them straight out. (the ones that went to
the old radio and tape player) The ones in my truck didn’t anyway, and it
made it pretty easy to move the real harness end.

Timmy D says:

ooh…ow…that hurt… having fun repeating what i say? yeah, again, im
too fat to even get out of my house, even though i was OUTSIDE in the
video… again… GOOD FUCKIN CALL SHERLOCK HOLMES!!

martin Perez says:

What is the box for ?

Timmy D says:

@Wayne Scott II yeah you do not need that box underneath the steering
column, uhm, I’m not exactly sure for the tape player it was a long time
ago, but i think what I did was i just pulled pulled that whole plate out
that the tape player goes in the its a screw or two on that that holds it
in, i hope i was informative enough 🙂 have fun and be careful

Timmy D says:

Np man, glad i could help someone out… hah

agayboy48 says:

Hey where do the rear speaker wires run? I cant find them I have. 94 k1500
extended cab and I cant find the rear speaker wires can u help

Timmy D says:

It’s no problem at all, its why i put up this video, i figured alot of
young guys out there wouldn’t know how to hook up a stereo in one of these,
it is really confusing hah, but yeah, your welcome, and best of luck to you
finding it at wall’s world

Timmy D says:

Yeah, the factory speakers in these older pickups are shit.. the back
speakers are HELL to take out, theres a video on here somewhere of how to
do it, but the front speakers are easy, i wish you the best of luck in
changin em out

Wayne Scott II says:

Hey buddy, thanks for the video. It was helpful. I actually thought we need
that little box below in order to install an aftermarket stereo; which
would have sucked since mine is dead. And if I understand what you were
saying and showing, I do not need it.?.? I have a another question though,
How did you get the tape player out? I can’t seem to figure that out. I was
able to take out the tuner side, but we couldn’t figure out the tape player
part. I would like to install my Cb radio there

add the 3 w’s and “.” in front of link and “.” instead of “dot”
