Yes, 14-14.5 volts is normal for most cars, including Chevy’s with 4.3l V6 engines.

14volts charging is what it suppose to be.Over 15 volts is too much.You want voltage at battery to be higher than when car is not running.Example 12.4volts with vehicle not running & 14.4volts at battery with vehicle running at idle.Turning on all accessories at idle(headlights,wipers,heater/ac,radio,etc)voltage should be above battery voltage when car is not running ideally at least 1volt higher with all accessories on at idle.Hope this helps.Certified Automotive Tech of over 10 years here
