OK I'm having a problem with my 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo I bought a new distributor (HEI) well it's not starting at all.. I hooked up a wire from the + side of the distributor to the ign fuse and nothing idk what's wrong with it pls help me I appreciate it alot
so positive battery negatives is tach is speedometer
Great video keep them coming your greatly appreciated
cool video. do u know what brand distributor that is? thanx
Chris, I have a 70 gm. I had a resistor wire from ignition fuse block , and a power wire from the starter to the coil. I upgraded to hei . I think the power from the starter sol powers the distributor while its cranking and then the positive from the fuseblock then powers the distributer in run. I need to replace my resistance wire from fuse block but its difficult to trace back under the hood. So I was wondering if you encountered this problem . Do I splice the two power wires together ( one from start sol and one from fuseblock)and then run to the distributor bat terminal ?
does anyone know if matters which way you screw on your littlr rotor button in the distributor
nice wrk. I totally learned alot from that video. I have a 76 gmc chevy that I am redoing. thx again my frnd☺
i was told the reason my HEI coil gets so hot is because of poor ground. had to ice it for it to work.
good video thank you, a question: in apoints to hei conversion, where do the wires for the carb choke and sensors connect to?
