In this video demonstration I take you through a quick and easy front speaker “retrofit” replacement using aftermarket speakers on a 2011 Chevy Malibu.
This is a common issue on many GM Chevy vehicles I believe 2007 to 2013 may be other years as well. In some cases moister related in most cases I found no signs of moisture still failed. I have used these speakers in a couple other applications with good results, these are smaller than originals however I found the presses of installation much faster. And the sound quality still far passes the originals
It’s a choice you have once in there. Hope you enjoy
in the video i referred to markings on the original housing in reference to the polarity. im not certain if all are marked and or landed the same. follow link bellow to a color code list to make certain in addition any questions will be best answered there on the forum

Do you have a video replacing the 6×9's?
Great video, helped me know ahead of time what fastener was where.
Thanks for the video. My Son and I completed the replacement of His speakers thanks to your help.
Can you do a video on replacing the factory 6×9 speakers?
DUDE THANKS!!! this was a good video!
My speakers won't work most of the time, but then all of the sudden, One or the other comes on, and it sounds great. next time, they don't work again. Is this perhaps just a connector problem? or do you think the speaker is bad? It sounds great when it does come on.
Nice job again, Will.
Just like the pro that you are .. Good job Will !
Good video! For me, one of the most difficult parts of doing something like this is figuring out how to get the door panel off without breaking something.
Thanks Will your the best.

Did you have a wiring diagram to figure out Pos / Neg on the terminals? I think it was a Honda that I worked on where the electrical connection went into the plastic housing as well.
